Ink has seven souls. He needs vials to regulate what he feels or else the emotions would overwhelm his body. Ink throws up and his body shuts down to an emotionless state as a final defense against the overwhelming emotions of seven souls. Ink has so many souls arranged weirdly in his body that it's making it impossible for blue magic to grab them. Some people think he's soulless because of this and the way he shuts down into an emotionless state.
(We are going in reverse here folks. To many Soulless Inks then *bam now there's an Ink with to many souls. To many emotions causes him to throw up then *bam here's even more emotions. Emotionless Ink without his vials then bam emotionless Ink with his vials.) Lol
