What Is An Error?

To be an error is to be trapped within a cage inside ones own body at least for those capable of keeping their consciousness. Or it could be an error that had been so lost to the pleasure of destruction there was nothing better than destroying left in its head.

As an error the need to destroy everything conquers any other thought or feeling. Insanity was the natural result.

The process of becoming an error was painful. It corrupted the body down to the very soul. Stubborn souls fight against the corruption the longest and usually suffer the most painful conversion process.

This was all a naturally occurring phenomenon only capable of happening in the antivoid where nothing and everything exists at once.

This was were the one being who had ever gained claimed the name Error was born despite other errors existing. The being was plagued by insanity and the need to destroy like every other error.

Except Error was a bit different. Maybe because he was constantly exposed to the good guys or maybe it was his own mind fighting off the corruption. He failed at completely destroying aus even at his worst.

Error was a stubborn soul he had to be if he was the original of all alternative timeline bad endings. He had to be used to fazes of insanity when the human trapped him to starvation, isolation and all shorts of horrors.

He fought to keep his thoughts every day as the maddening push to destroy everything threatened to drown him into nothing more than a killing machine.

The struggle grew more fierce in his head when the good sans constantly reached out trying to be nice. Not harming him when he crashes and sending him home even if he had literally ripped apart an entire au.

It confused him at first. Made him think they were weak. But over time their kindness started to get to him. And he hesitated to give finishing blows turned a blind eye to certain openings and attacks.

He would deny doing that fiercely and sometimes giving them knitted items. He felt his efforts at hiding these facts go to waste as they continued more determined to befriend the destroyer.

They were getting to him and he just wanted to scream at them to stop. That he wasn't worth it. That he was incapable of stopping his destroying even if he wanted to.

That his insanity will hurt them irrevocably if they continued. They should end him before he falls back into mindless destruction.

Error was stubborn though and continued on. Now Error claimed most of the antivoid as his domain. He had destroyed other errors that fell here. His domain was huge covered in strings.

He didn't want to have an pesky creature slip by without his notice. The point was with Error around the dangerous things that escape or survive in this place was low for centuries.

He was the most knowledgeable about errors and the horrors behind them. The antivoid was huge though and he wasn't capable of keeping track of everything at once especially when he was away and focused on something else.

Other errors rarely survive the corruption process and they also don't live long after the change. Their bodies glitching out and falling apart. That doesn't stop them from being extremely dangerous entities for the short amount of time they live.

Universes have fallen to the hands of other errors that escape from the antivoid no matter Error's own efforts. He was usually blamed for those as he usually immediately found those errors destroying the universe.

Error wasn't quite sure how he survived so long as an error. Maybe because he wasn't completely gone to his corruption yet. Maybe it was his determination and glitched up soul. His soul was glitched to hell and back even before being trapped here.

Maybe he was just extremely stubborn and suffering from an extremely slow death from the corruption. In any case Error kept his silence and struggled with an eternal war within his being. Sometimes not even conscious of his own struggle as the madness and need to destroy takes him.

A war he would someday lose and a part of him begged for the stars to put him out of his misery before then.

(This was where I actually got my original idea of Star Sans x Error. An error was a being who becomes so corrupted they lose themselves to the need to destroy. Whatever is left of Error's true self is slowly dying, but is struggling violently with every friend and ally Error makes. Whether Error can be cured from his state of being or some other plot point is open for interpretation here is up to you.)

(I was originally thinking of someone making an army of errors through one of Error's blind spots in the antivoid and through exposure others start to figure out that Error's condition is more than it seems. He is definitely the most sane error even when he's going bat shit on aus.) ( They learn a lot trying to fix the beings that were being used for the army. Figuring out that they don't live long and have an uncontrollable lust for destruction.)(Error is the only error to ever keep their mind intact so Error still has a chance to being uncorrupted if Sci ever figures it out.)( Also only those errors in their early stages of corruption can be saved because their minds become destroyed in the later stages by corruption.)
