I grabbed her hands. She was getting nervous. She knew I probably wouldn't understand.

"I know my mom did a lot of  fucked up things. But she's my mother. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here, or with you. She used to be good though and I remember those times when she gets all crazy," she said.

She looked at me as I saw the tears form. Here it comes. I knew it. We haven't talked about it in a month.  She was in her feelings now.

"Are you and Thrill gonna go?" She asked me.

I licked my lips. I haven't made up my mind. If I go she will worry. If I stay I would  be worried about  Thrill.  If something happened to him I would have to live with that. It would be a heavy burden.

"We haven't really talked about it again," I told her.

"Papi," she said.

"I know," I said.

I sighed. She was putting a lot on me today. It was stressing me out. I just needed time to think. Then my dumbass cousins pop back up. Heaven was helping Mika move into my apartment building.  But staying at my crib because she was getting hers remodeled. I have no idea how they talked  me into it any of this but they did.

"If you go or not , we should still go to your family reunion,"

I groaned. I really wasn't ready to get into it with pops brothers and sisters. They were some pieces of work. I swear I would fight them all. One on one. Besides he just gonna harass me about the property.

"Mila I'm not finna go to that bullshit," I said as I stood up.

"But it could be the last time .. especially if you go,"  she said and  licked her lips.

I groaned and walked over to the bar.  To much in a day. I knew 'that' was gonna be that reasoning. And it was a good one. I walked behind the bar.

"If I do go.  What makes you think that is the last memory I want?" I asked her and grabbed a prerolled filled with  2.0.

I watched as she furrowed her eyebrows. She stood up. I placed the blunt to my lips.

"You thinking about going aren't you?" She asked me as she walked slowly over to me as I lit the blunt.

I nodded my head as I exhaled.

"Rainie, the girls are going to miss you, I'm going to miss you, then if something happens....."

"Nothing will happen. Do you know how fucked up I would be if something happened to  Thrill  if I  didn't go with him?" I asked her and licked my lips.

I watched as she thought about it. She walked behind the bar. I licked my lips and sighed.

"Papi, I understand. Just think about the outcome of both," she said and placed her shaking hand on my cheek.
