J.Rose
Chapter 159
August 7,2017

I smirked as I watched as my wife got mad.  Like big mad.The more words they let loose the madder she got. I was gonna let her go for a bit. I told them to let me handle it.

She was already stressed. But dumb ass Traci just had to bring it up and show up . We haven't talked about the letter in a month. I think her and Thrill been stressing about it. I come home from work  to either wait for them to get back from some trip with the girls or they would be in the room smoking and the girls would be with Miguel and Heaven.

"Fuck you Heaven. I told y'all niggas I wasn't going to that shit," she growled at her.

"You told us but we ain't trying to hear it!" Ricki yelled.

I watched as Rain turned and glared at Ricki.  She was getting pissed. Super duper piss. They been on her hard for about a month. She was already dealing with some shit.

"And I'm the hard at hearing mutha.."

"Major!" I yelled.

She quickly looked at me. The glare was softer but it was still there. She groaned. I had been home a hour from work and walked into this. I should have stayed at work longer. Then again I probably would of came home to a massacre.

"Come here," I said and licked my lips  and patted the couch cushion next to me.

She glared at them as she made her way over to me. She might actually fight all three of them. It was so damn tense and the temperature in the room was rising.

"Handle all of that," Heaven said as she huffed and sat down on the love seat.

They had been going at it for about a couple of hours apparently .I placed the blunt to my lips as Rain stood in front of me. I grabbed her hand and pulled her down next to me on the couch. She was cold as fuck and her ears were red.

"Relax papi," I said as she sighed as I slowly rubbed her ear.

"Y'all get out. Go someplace," I said as I stared at the three.

" We just got back," Traci said.

"And why the fuck are y'all here? I swear before god Traci that funeral home better still be there," Rain hissed as she started to get up.

I tugged her ear and she groaned as she sat back into the couch.

"One we missed you. Two it's fine, three Tee said to bring you and yo wife back," Ricki said.

"Well you two better get real comfortable because I ain't going," she said as she stood up.

I watched as she grabbed a handful of pre rolls. She mumbled under her breath as she walked out the music room. I looked at them and groaned. I handed the blunt to Ricki who had sat next to me.

"She's going to go," Heaven said as she waved her hand in the air.

"Listen, y'all should be scared because I am. She might kill y'all asses for real. Next time I say let me handle it, let me. Do you know how long it's gonna take me to talk her out of killing y'all?" I asked them.

"Yeah like 2 seconds and if we give you what a few hours, we could be back on a plane because you handle it," Ricki said and winked at me and handed Heaven the blunt.

I laughed and lowered my head. I looked back up at them and pushed my hair out of my face.  It was true. But to be honest I know she was leaning more towards not going on this mission. But we also been busy with work and the girls I really don't know. She might go and if she does I wanna spend all the time we have together.

"Gimme a few hours," I said and smirked.

They laughed and nodded. I was gonna spend a nice chuck of that getting her ass high. It's so much easier to talk to her that way.

"Yessss! The girls can have a sleep over at my crib. Aka Rainies apartment!" Heaven yelled.

"Please don't fuck our shit up. Nora took y'all lifeboat for the year," I said and smirked.

"Nope the inner circle gets one. We still got ours," Ricki said and laughed.

I chuckled and stood up.  I can't stand them.

"Y'all just let me do this," I said as I grabbed some more pre rolls off the table.

"And just please ... behave," I said as I looked at the three.

"I don't want to go," Raine said as she looked at me as soon as I entered the room.

"I know papi," I said and handed her the blunt I had lit in my search.

She looked at me and smirked. I took in her outfit. Red basketball shorts and a Iron Man t shirt. With one yellow sock and one red. The girls must of gotten to her this morning. I grabbed her hand and pulled over to the couch in her upstairs  hidden room.

"Tell me something," she said as she turned to face me on the couch.

I smiled as she slouched down and placed her knee and part of her leg on the couch and she placed her head on the back of the couch cushion.  We haven't been up here in a while, well I haven't. I missed this vibe  up here. Just us alone. It was like a little secret island right now. Away from everybody at the moment.

"Okay," I said and smiled.

"Why is family so important to you? Even after they do some fuck up shit to you," she asked me.

"Because mines was broken, we tried to keep it together for as long as we could. So we became closer and stronger as siblings without a mother. We are all we got in the end and I don't want to lose that," I said as I looked down at my hands.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me in closer.

"I know baby, but I see the ones who were good to me, but those others.." She said and licked her lips.

"I know. But it's the same reason I keep letting my mother back in and it was lesson I learned along time ago, " I said as my hand started to shake.

"What lesson is that?" She asked me.

I sighed and thought about it. Rain didn't really have a mom she probably doesn't have that connection.

"She will always be my mother," I said lowly.
