"You're my everything."

Start from the beginning

He lifted up his glass at stunned silence. It was Mark who began to clap first, then others quickly followed his lead. I leaned over and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and he took another sip of water from his glass and got up out of his chair.

"Where are you going," I chuckled. "I still have to eat the rest of your food."

"I have a special surprise for you Bright Eyes, but I have to get to the stage. Just head over that way when I wave over to you, okay?"

I quirked my eyebrow.

"Mark, what are you going to -"

"It's a surprise, and you'll love it. Trust your husband, all right?"

He headed off before I could come up with a sarcastic response. I finished off his chicken if a few bites for leaving me alone. Served him right.

A small band was behind him on the slightly raised stage, and he waved me over from the table to join him a few minutes later. There was light applause and cheers as I felt my face turn completely red as I sat down on a chair next to him. He swayed in time with the music as he held tightly onto the microphone in one hand and my hand in the other. I couldn't tell who was happier. Him or me.

"You're a fallen star.

You're the getaway car.

You're the line in the sand, when I go too far.

You're the swimming pool, on an August day.

And you're the perfect thing to say.

And you play it coy, but it's kinda cute.

Oh, when you smile at me you know exactly what you do.

Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true.

'Cause you can see it when I look at you.

And in this crazy life,

And through these crazy times,

It's you, it's you.

You make me sing.

You're every line.

You're every word.

You're everything."

He pulled me onto my feet and we began to dance.

"You're a carousel.

You're a wishing well.

And you light me up when you ring my bell.

You're a mystery.

You're from outer space.

You're every minute of my every day.

And I can't believe that I'm your man.

And I get to kiss you, baby, just because I can.

Whatever comes our way.

We'll see it through.

And you know that's what our love can do.

And in this crazy life,

And through these crazy times,

It's you, it's you.

You make me sing.

You're every line.

You're every word.

You're everything."

He twirled me around and then twirled me back into his arms. I laughed so loudly that everyone around us cooed and clapped. I barely could see anymore out of all the fucking tears, but I couldn't let him go. How could I love someone this much? He pulled me even closer and was singing just to me.

"So laa, laa, laa, la, laa ,la, laa.

So laa, laa, laa, la, laa ,la, laa.

And in this crazy life,

And through these crazy times,

It's you, it's you.

You make me sing.

You're every line.

You're every word.

You're everything.

You're every song, and I sing along.

'Cause you're my everything!

Yeah, yeah.

So laa, laa, laa, la, laa ,la, laa

So laa, laa, laa, la, laa ,la, la, laa, la, la, laa."

There was more applause but I was too busy kissing my new husband to notice anyone else but him, and his beautiful bright eyes.
