Flames flashed before her, and she heard Rosetta's screams along with Damon's yells for her to jump. All that Allison could see was fire though. The burning sensation filling her lungs, and the burning sting that coursed through her body from her shoulder getting burned. Allison wanted to pull her hair out. She wanted to scream.

But she didn't.

Then suddenly, she wasn't there anymore. Allison was standing in the middle of the woods, looking down at the familiar creek. She couldn't help but smile at the fact that she was in her favorite place now, and at that moment, it was beautiful. Relaxing and peaceful.

"Told you." Damon's voice caused the girl to turn around, seeing Damon standing there smirking and leaning against a tree. Behind him was a meadow of tall grass. "And can I just say, you look darling in that dress."

Allison looked down at herself, seeing that she was in a white sundress with thin straps and daisies on it. Something she'd never be caught wearing, which caused her to roll her eyes with a light smile, but then she looked up at him. "Thanks for... getting me out of there."

"You're welcome." He nods, looking around. "So, this is your safest place in the world?"

"Hm?" She raised an eyebrow, before realizing something. "I don't know if I like you being able to snoop around in my head." Damon just looked over, smirking. "All I had to do was get you into believing you were in your safe place... and this is it?"

Allison hesitated before nodding. "Well, this part is. I've been coming here ever since I was little." Then she gestured behind him, "But I don't recognize that." Now Damon gave her a look, "You don't recognize it?"

"No." Allison shook her head, "Is it something you thought of?"

"No." Damon shook his head, and he knew why now. It must've been a memory she blocked out or something, but he wasn't gonna bring it up to her. Instead, the vampire walked over and took her hand, before leading them into the meadow, where it then turned to night, and Allison couldn't help but look up in awe. The night sky was covered in a million stars, and she couldn't help the smile.

That is, until Damon got her attention again. "Now, can you tell me what's happening with you?"

"Can you make it rain?" Allison avoided his question, still looking up at the sky. Yes, she loved the stars. But her absolutely favorite thing was the rain. Damon sighed, tugging her hand so she'd look at him. "Alli, please. I want to help you."
