Single Dad

Colby is a single dad to a little girl named Ally. Ally's mother and Colby were both young and in love, but after  Ally was born her mother wanted nothing to do with her or Colby and left leaving Colby to be both mother and father to a small innocent baby. Of course Colby had help from all his friends but she had no mother figure that is until a trip to Disneyland

Colbys POV
"Ally, Uncle Sam and Auntie Kat are here" I call out to my 4 year old daughter and in no time at all I hear tiny footsteps running down the stairs
"Uncle Sam. Auntie Kat" she yells coming into view making us giggle
"Hey little one you ready to go to Disney?" Sam asks
"Yes yes yes. Look I got my ears" Ally points to her Minnie Mouse ears "Auntie Kat. Daddy said you can do my hair"
"Of course. We all know your dad sucks at doing hair"
"Hey I've got better" I put my hands up in protest
"Yeah yeah come here Ally" I watch as my daughter interacts with Kat. I guess she is the closest thing Ally has ever had to a mother
"So how's the dating going?" Sam asks
"It's not. They either only want my money or once they find out I have a daughter they don't want to know" I sigh
"You'll find her bro. Don't loose hope. You never know where you'll meet her or how" Sam pats me on the back, I turn to see Kat finishing Ally's hair. I grab my back pack which has everything Ally and I need in and we get into the car, Kat helping Ally into her car seat
"Ready?" I ask and everyone yells back yes.

Some time later
We have been at Disney now for a few hours
"Daddy can we get ice cream?"
"Sure come on" we walk into an ice cream shop and order mine, Ally's, Sams and Kat's ice creams and some drinks. Ally and I take them over to where Sam and Kat are sitting
"Daddy, that girl was pretty you should ask for her number. Uncle Brennen does that" this makes all of us laugh
"I'm sure he does Ally" I shake my head
"You've got yourself a wing woman Colby"
"Uncle Brennen also said that kids are chick magnets. What does that mean?"
"Errrm..." just before I can say anything the door opens and I see probably the most beautiful woman I've ever seen walking in holding a little boys hand.

YN POV
"Jack do you want some ice cream?" I ask my 2 year old little brother. My mum had me young, 18 to be exact I'm now 21 which means my mum had my brother at 37, still pretty young for a mum who's got a 21 year old daughter
"Yes pwease" Jack says and I take him into the nearest ice cream shop
"Hi can I get a strawberry ice cream and a chocolate ice cream please" I ask the lady behind the counter. A few moments later the lady gives us our ice creams and I pay
"Ok Jack let's find a seat" we sit at a table that's next to a group of people, 2 of them are holding hands and look to be a couple the other guy has a little girl sat next to him and he isn't bad looking to be fair
"YN?"
"Hmm"
"When we done can we go sma word"
"Ugggh really? You know I don't like that ride"
"Pwease" Jack pouts
"Fine" we finish up and walk over to the small world ride but before we go on I take Jack into the toilet to change his diaper. When we walk out I notice the same group of people, we end up standing in the line behind them
"My wegs hurt"
"Mine to buddy"
"Up" Jack puts his arms in the air and I pick him up carrying him until we get on the ride. Finally we are at the front of the line and I end up sitting next to the guy who we were stood behind. The ride starts and Jack starts singing
"YN uck" Jack points to the dolls
"Yeah great" I say trying not to freak out suddenly the ride stops "oh no" I whisper
"It's ok they not go move"
"Sorry are you ok?" only now realising my eyes are closed I open them to guy next to me looking concerned
"No she scared of them" Jack says for me
"So you come on a ride full of dolls?" He chuckles
"It was him" I laugh pointing to Jack
"The things we do for our kids ay"
"Oh no this is my little brother, but that little cutie is yours?" I ask
"Errr yeah" the guy says slightly awkward, damn it he's got a girlfriend or wife
"I'm YN by the way" I put my hand out for him to shake "and this is Jack"
"Nice to meet you both. I'm Colby. That's Sam my best friend, his girlfriend Kat and that's my daughter Ally"
"Well it's nice to meet you all"
"Are you from here?" Sam asks
"No I'm originally from Florida but we moved for my career, this little one is from California though. What about you guys"
"Well I'm Canadian" the girl says smiling
"And we're from Kansas" Sam says motioning to him and Colby
"Ally was born in LA though"
"I see" the ride starts moving again and finally it's over. We exit the ride
"Thank you for calming me down" I smile at Colby
"No problem" he smiles back
"No say please not pwease" Ally says to Jack making me giggle
"Hey can I get your number?"
"Won't your girlfriend be upset?" I raise my eyebrows
"I don't... I'm a single dad. She walked out on us when Ally was born"
"Oh I'm so sorry"
"No no it's ok you didn't know and anyway everything happens for a reason right" Colby smirks as he holds out his phone. I smile taking it from him and putting my number in, I give him my phone and he does the same
"Want to join us for the rest of the day?" I ask
"Sure if you don't mind" Colby says
"Of course not come on"
"So you didn't tell us what you do as a job, what made you move to LA?" Kat asks
"Oh errrm I'm an actress, I work for Disney actually" I laugh
"Oh wow. What have you been in?"
"I was the voice of lady for lady and the tramp and I've just started a new show on Disney. What about you guys what do you do for work?"
"We're YouTubers, plus Kat's a singer she has an album out" Colby says. We carry on talking and spend the whole day together, Jack ends up falling asleep and I carry him around for a little bit. We end up watching the fire works before all heading back to our cars
"Want to go out for Lunch tomorrow? You know just the 2 of us" Colby asks shyly
"Sure I don't film until tomorrow night so I'll be free"
"Text me your address and I'll pick you up"
"Perfect. I'll see you tomorrow"
"Bye" we wave as they leave
"My sister is getting a boyfriend" Jack claps and I roll my eyes strapping him into his car seat. I can't wait until tomorrow.
