Runaway Pt3

A few months later and we found mum a new place to stay and I decided to just move in to the trap house. I also decided to go to the police about what happened, Colby took photos of the bruised as evidence.

Flashback
"We the jury find the accused guilty for the charges of domestic abuse" I let out a sigh of relief as the tears I've been holding flow from my eyes. I get down from the stand and watch as the police men removed my farther from the court room. I walk out the door and immediately run to to my mum in tears
"Did we do the right thing?" I ask her
"Yes sweetheart" mum says squeezing me
"YN?" Colby says walking up to us. I hug Colby "it's ok. Everything's ok now"

I walk downstairs to see everyone else in the kitchen
"Good morning" Corey says smiling
"Morning" I say taking an apple out of the bowl
"What's the plan today?" Sam asks
"Well mum and I have a meeting. Then tonight we have the charity appearance, have you all got suits and dresses?" I ask. You see after I was given the family business I hired my mum as my business partner and I now work alongside Fanjoy and sponsor my friends. I also hired Sam to help keep an eye on money coming in and out. Colby also helps me make decisions alongside my mum.
We recently did a collaborative project for charity and are now going to accept an award tonight
"Yep can't wait" Kat says excitedly
"You know I'm proud of you" Colby says hugging me
"We all are" Sam smiles
"Thanks guys. Now the limo is arriving to pick us up at 1pm so we best all get ready" I turn around and kiss Colby on the cheek
"Are we picking your mum up on the way?" Sam asks
"Yep and you know she doesn't like us being late"
"Oh I know" Colby laughs

Flashback
"We're so late" I say as I pull Sam and Colby to the office "mums gonna kill us. Especially me. I mean this is my company now and I let you two idiots distract me" I open the office doors to see my mum in my seat
"Ahhh wonderful of you to join us. What were you doing?" Mum asks
"Errrm we were..."
"Helping Elton with a video" Sam finishes for me I nudge him as mum gives us a disappointed look
"Well what are you three doing? The company won't run its self. Sam meting now about the next collection, go go go" Sam walks out towards the meeting room "and you two" she points at us "you need to approve of the paper work like now. Go"
"Not gonna lie but your mum is scary" Colby says as we walk out of my office
"Yeah I know"

Kat grabs my arm and pulls me upstairs to hers and Sams room, the other girls following us. We get dressed and do our hair and makeup, before we know it it's time to get going. We get in the limo and pick up my mum
"Ok have you got your speech ready?" She asks me. To be honest my mum is more like a manager than a business partner which makes me laugh
"Yes" I sigh
"Ok so for photos we will have YN and Colby, Sam and Kat, Tara and Jake, Reggie and Cassie, Corey and Devyn and then finally Kevin, Mike and Aryia ok?"
"Yes mum we got it. Chill" I smile at her taking her hand
"Sorry. I know you've got it" she squeezes my hand. A few minutes later we arrive at the venue and walk the red carpet, Colby and I holding hands.

We're seated until it's time to accept the award. My friends, mum and I all walk up to the stage and take the award
"Thank you so much for this award. Working alongside charities has always been something I've wanted to do with the company so as soon as I was give control that was the first thing I changed. I want to thank my mum for being an amazing business partner, for helping me to know what's best for everyone. Thank you to Fanjoy for allowing us to work alongside them to make this world a better place. Of course I need to say a huge thank you to these guys behind me for not only helping me through some hard times but also for creating content to help make others happy. I also want to thank my boyfriend Colby for being by my side through everything, I love you" Colby mouths 'I love you to' to me "and finally thank you to all the charities for allowing us to work with you and help spread awareness of problems we face in this country. Thank you" we walk off stage and back to our table to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and night.
