Jake and I have been best friends since forever. He and Tara broke up a little while ago but managed to stay close friends. When they first broke up I was the one to comfort Jake and I guess it made me catch feelings for him, we would go out for food, cuddle under blankets eating junk food, go to the fair. I spoke to Kat about how I felt and she told me that I should just pluck up the cordage and tell him, however I'm to scared. I'm now at lunch with all the girls
"YN are you going to tell Ja..." I nudge kat to say shut up "what? Oh come on they all know how you feel"
"Kat no" I shake my head
"YN is it because I'm here?" Tara asks "I know you like Jake and it's ok. We broke up like a year ago I just want him to be happy and I can see how happy he is with you"
"But what if I tell him how much I like him but he doesn't like me back, then things are going to be super awkward" I sigh taking a sip of my drink
"Why don't you do that tik tok trend where you kiss him then if he doesn't feel the same you could just said 'oh it was just for a video' shouldnt be awkward then" Devyn shrugs
"Ughhh I dunno"
"Come on YN the worst that could happen is that he says he only like you as a friend" Xeph now says
"Yeah and if that's the case it just means we will have to have a girls night out to get you and Tara a man" Cassie chuckles
"Ok fine" I roll my eyes. We pay and leave going over to my car and Taras car. Kat and Devyn get into mine and I drive us to the TRAP house. Kat gets out and puts the code in and I go to park up. We walk in and everyone is outside. I walk into the kitchen as the girls go out and I make myself a drink.... gonna need a little bit of liquid courage if I'm gonna do this
"Hey YN" I hear Jake says as I take a shot "bit early to start drinking" Jake hands me a bottle of water. Damn this is it, I watch as he opens up the fridge and I set my phone up. Jake shouts the fridge putting down some food, this is my chance. I walk over to him and take his face in my hands "what are..." he starts before my lips are on his. Unexpectedly he kisses back wrapping his arms around my waist. I then hear cheers coming from the backyard, I pull back
"God I wanted to do that for so long" he says
"Why didn't you?"
"I was scared that you didn't feel the same way, I only told the boys ya know Corey, Sam and Colby"
"No wonder the girls wanted me to do this so bad" I chuckle
"So.... you want to go on a date?" Jake asks I smile and nod my head as he pulls me in for another kiss
"Finally my girls getting some" I hear Kat yell. I flip her off as I continue to kiss Jake.
