Insecurities- Corey

Corey and I have been dating for a few years now, he moved to LA 6 months ago and unfortunately I couldn't move with him as I was finishing up collage, however I have now finished and I have moved to LA. Today I am meeting corey friends for the first time, I really nervous because I follow them all on Instagram and the girls are all so pretty. I drive over to the address Corey has given me and I get to a gate. I text ring Corey to say I'm outside and he lets me know the gate code. I drive in and park up. I get out and Corey greets me at the door
"Hey baby are you ready to meet everyone?"
"Yeah but I'm kinda nervous"
"Don't be they will love you. Did you bring your swimwear?"
"Yeah I have it on under my clothes"
"Ok you can get changed in my room" Corey takes my hand and guides me up the stairs, this house is huge. We get to his room and I take off my clothes leaving me in a navy blue bikini. We head downstairs and I see Sam and Kat
"Ahhh YN is so nice to finally meet you" Kat hugs me and I hug back, she is stunning. She's wearing such a cute bikini and then here's me just in a normal blue one, her figure is amazing and I'm stood here with extra weight on my thighs and stomach
"Hi YN welcome to the trap house. Come meet the others" Sam says smiling. Corey takes my hand, I look at him and he squeezes it
"I know you follow everyone on Instagram and we follow you so we don't need to do the whole introduction thing but this is everyone. Your welcome to food and drinks. Please just make yourself at home" Sam says as everyone turns to look at me, suddenly I feel even more self conscious than before. The girls are the first to run over and greet me
"Omg I love your makeup" Devyn says
"Your bikini is so cute" Cassie says
"Yes another girl in the group I can't wait" Tara says. Rational me would just say they are giving me compliments but irrational me is thinking that they are just mocking me. Corey and I go over to the pool and get in
"Hi YN is good to finally meet you properly. Corey doesn't shut up about you, but that's a good thing" Colby says hugging me. We spend the rest of the day in the pool, I feel like they are all judging me. Finally Corey and I head up to his room
"Hey you ok you've been really quiet"
"Do they actually like me or are they making fun of me?"
"Baby why would you say that?"
"Well it's just the girls are all so beautiful and they're figures are amazing and they were giving me compliments, like devyns a makeup artist right and she said she loved my makeup but I'm not good at makeup and then Cassie said she liked my bikini but did you see what she had on it was amazing and I was just in a plain 2 piece"
"Babe stop. They like you, do you how I know?" I shake my head "because when you went to the toilet everyone said how lovely you were and Colby said you were way out of my league which it true. I promise you, you don't need to feel insecure around them. We are family, we build each other up no bring each other down" I smile at Corey
"Thank you". For the rest of the night we cuddle in his bed. When I wake up he's gone. I get up and get dressed, I put on a little makeup and head downstairs to see the kitchen table full of food
"What's all this?" I smile
"Well Corey said that you felt a bit insecure and you thought we didn't like you, but that's not the case at all. We thought that this would help" Colby says smiling
"I promise you YN everything we said yesterday was true" Tara says hugging me
"I'm sorry I should have just accepted those compliments" I say ashamed
"I'm guessing Corey will have already said this but we are a family. So here's a glass and let's raise it for our new family member YN YLN" Sam hands me a glass of orange juice and we all raise our glasses
"Thank you" Corey hugs me and kisses my forehead
"Welcome to the family" I smile now knowing that these people are going to have my back from now on
