'Easier said than done!'
————꧁꧂————
"For Camelot!" Arthur cries before he charges towards Bular with his sword in hand.
"I'll drink your blood out of a goblet made of your skull!" Bular roars as him and Arthur battle.
I manage to pull myself up into a sitting position, watching the fight with horrified eyes. I attempt to stand up but let out a groan as my chest stings.
Yeah, that's not good.
Despite my pain, I still attempt to stand up—although I keep my eyes on the fight between Arthur and Bular.
It seemed like Arthur was holding his own well—that was before he managed to swipe one of Bulars swords out of his hands, only furthering the manic trolls anger. Bular let out a roar of defiance before he swipes at Arthur—knocking the king to the ground and causing him to lose his sword.
Bular stalks towards him before grabbing him by the neck and pinning him against a tree, his sword ready to slice his neck. I glance around and watch as all the knights try and haul themselves up, but none of them are close enough—I'm the closest.
"I'll carve you open, and let your guts spill out!" Bular roars as he pulls his sword back, ready to thrust it forward when-
"No!" I yell as I scramble to my feet and launch myself onto Bulars back.
Bular let's out a loud roar as I pull back on his horns with all my strength—causing him to let go of Arthur who thuds to the ground.
I was getting a serious sense of deja vu as I hold on tightly to the crazy trolls horns—trying not to fall as he thrashes around like a bull.
Maybe I should stop jumping on psychotic trolls backs?
My grip on Bular tightens as I watch him swipe his sword at me—but I manage to dodge and keep my head down.
The longer I hold on though, the more I realise that I'm going to slip soon.
"Douxie! Rope him!" I scream, hoping to Amora that Douxie is in the area.
"Keep him still!" Douxie voice yells, and I instantly feel relief knowing he's nearby.
"Easier said than done!" I yell back, letting out a slight shriek as Bular tries to fling me off his back.
I pull on his horns more, and manage to make him pause for a second—and that second was enough for Douxie to create a rope with his magic and fling it so it goes around Bulars waist.
"Let go!" Douxie yells to me, and I don't waste a second before I let myself fall to the ground.
As soon as I thud to the ground, Bular turns towards me with the most menacing snarl I've ever heard. At that moment, I was sure that he would squish me like a bug—but instead I felt something wrap around my waist and pull me back along the grass—gaining another shriek from me.
When I finally stop, I look behind me to find Merlin had pulled me back with the same magic trick that Douxie's using on Bular.
I open my mouth to make a sassy comment before shutting it when I realise something.
This isn't my Merlin. He won't find this funny. He doesn't even know who I am.
I settle on muttering a small thanks in a deep voice, hoping that he realises that my yelling and shrieking before was just being scared. I am a man. I am not a teenage girl. Not at all.
When I look back to Bular, I watch as Merlin creates a green trap that pins the troll to the ground—while also covering his whole body and stopping him from moving. Which is good because the look he's giving me makes me realise that he definitely wants to kill me.
"Are you alright?" Douxie quickly asks as he rushes to my side and holds out a hand—smiling when I take it before he heaves me back up to my feet.
"Totally. I didn't realise how cool Sir Fadass can be." I chuckle as I fold my armoured arms across my chest.
"He is a pretty talented knight." Douxie goes along as he slightly nudges my side—gaining a small laugh from me.
"Finish it then, Fleshbags!" Bular yells roughly as Arthur approaches him.
"The spawn of Gunmar. I won't dull Excaliburs edge with you." King Arthur says in disgust before roughly kicking his head. "Drag this monster back to Camelot! I have plans for him. The rest, with me! My blade hungers."
"As you wish, milord. Onward!" Sir Lancelot yells.
"Sir Fadass, with me!" King Arthur calls, and I immediately share a worried look with Douxie.
I quickly adjust the helmet on my head, my nerves buzzing as I make my way over to the King.
I walk alongside him near the front as he leads the knights, and my mind is already coming up with the horrible things he must want to say to me.
"Sir Fadass, I owe you my life. Not many knights would be brave enough to do what you did, so I thank you." King Arthur tells me in his normal rough voice, but I can tell he's being sincere. "You've been a knight at Camelot for many years, and yet I've never taken notice of you. You have served me well today, Fadass."
"Thank you, my King." I say in a deep voice before I awkwardly bow my head to him.
Arthur simply nods before he walks ahead—leaving me to trail behind with a bewildered face (although no one can see it because of my helmet).
"What did he ask?" Claire's voice whispers from behind me, causing me to slightly jump before I turn to her.
"He was thanking me, funnily enough. I didn't realise he could do that." I mutter to the girl, knowing Morgana is only slightly infront of us.
"You did good. Although you seriously need to stop jumping on the backs of psycho trolls." Claire tells me with a playful smile.
"That's exactly what I was thinking." I tell her, the two of us letting out small giggles before we cease it when everyone in front of us suddenly stops.
"These tracks are fresh! The other beasts can't be far, milord. Best we spread out, flank them!" Sir Lancelot tells King Arthur.
"Go." King Arthur nods.
I wave a small goodbye to Claire before following after the other knights—much to my dismay.

I follow along with Sir Lancelot, Galahad, Steve and King Arthur. It was going alright until we came upon footprints leading straight through a heavily booby trapped area. It wasn't even inconspicuous. There were obviously dispensers in the walls and the plates on the ground were so obviously connected to those dispensers.
It seemed like the kind of traps I'd create in Minecraft. And I suck at red stone in Minecraft.
"This area is dangerous. There's no way around." King Arthur says, looking around the area.
"I think Steve should go ahead." I say in a deep voice, a small smirk on my face.
"What?" Steve gapes before awkwardly laughing at how scared he sounded. "I mean, yeah! Fear not, for Steve will scour the enemy base!"
The other knights did not seem comforted by this, and watched unimpressed as Steve walked forward.
"Hold Squire. Watch out for the-" Sir Lancelot tried to warn, but Steve had already stepped on the first wired stone.
"Ow!" Steve whines as a needle flies towards him and into his neck.
I immediately grimace.
"Oh!" Galahad mutters.
Steve did not seem to take this pain as an excuse to stop, and instead carried on forwards—into more pressure plates.
At first we all grimace and look away as more needles fly towards Steve and imbed themselves into his skin—but after awhile it became kinda funny, the way he groaned and yelled out when he got hit.
By the end, Galahad, Sir Lancelot and myself were practically pissing ourselves with laughter—watching as Steve screams and yells as needles poke out of his head, body and buttocks.
King Arthur seemed to be the only one who wasn't amused, and instead watched with an unimpressed raised eyebrow and his arms crossed.
Finally Steve collapsed and I let my laughter slowly die out as I walk towards the boy on the ground.
"That one had to hurt." Galahad laughs.
Sir Lancelot laughs before seizing one of Steve's arms as I grab the other—the two of us dragging Steve's body with us.
"You did good, Steve." I chuckle in my deep voice.
"Yes, very well done, Squire Steve!" Sir Lancelot chuckles. "Now the paths clear."
"I love you guys." Steve slurred—seemingly in a weird daze as he gazes up to the three of us. "You guys are my best friends."
"That's nice." I tell him with a small chuckle.
————꧁꧂————
This was the moment I've been dreading. The whole time we were out in the woods, I was practically praying to Amora that Jim wouldn't be one of the trolls we'd find. I had been hoping he'd gotten away, but I should've known better. Not only is he in an unknown place, he's also injured.
"Quiet men, I hear voices." Sir Lancelot shushes, immediately causing me to elbow Steve in the gut to shut up.
Sir Lancelot beckons Steve and I over to a nearby bush—before moving the leaves out of the way and revealing two trolls.
It was Jim. A completely unaware Jim with the female troll from before. They seemed to be looking at something on Jim's phone, and I was surprised that none of the knights even took notice of Jim's electronic device. Although I'm thankful they didn't, because how the hell am I supposed to explain that?
"Shh. I've got one in my sights." Sir Lancelot tells Steve and I before holding up his crossbow and aiming it directly at Jim.
My eyes go from Lancelot to Jim, then back to Lancelot then back to Jim in a frantic way. From the other side of Lancelot, Steve starts muttering to himself in a hurry, before his eyes catch mine and we share horrified looks.
I'm about ready to just punch Sir Lancelot—despite knowing that King Arthur and the other knights are behind us, but Steve thought fast.
"Oh snap! Mosquito!" Steve yells before slapping Sir Lancelots arm.
Sir Lancelot yells out as he accidentally fires the crossbow, and I watch as the arrow misses Jim but instead hits the female troll in the leg.
I wince but look back to find Sir Lancelot getting ready to fire another arrow.
"Another mosquito!" I yell before I slap him in the face.
"Another one!"
Slap.
"Mosquito!"
Slap.
"There's one there!"
Slap.
By the time Steve and I stopped slapping him, Jim and the female troll are already out of sight, and I let out a small sigh of relief.
My relief doesn't last long because Sir Lancelot stands up in a huff. He glared harshly at Steve and I before pushing his crossbow into Steve's arms.
"What is wrong with you two?" Sir Lancelot growls causing Steve and I to shrink back.
"W-what if we l-let this one go?" Steve stumbles out as he nervously rubs the back of his head.
I awkwardly nod my head from beside him.
"We never let them go!" Sir Lancelot tells us fiercely.
"But that one was already injured! He might die out there anyway, so shouldn't we look for a different troll?" I ask in my deep voice.
"No. We track it till it's dead, that's how this works, Fadass. You should know this." Sir Lancelot tells me with a finger pointed at my chest.
I quickly nod my head before we all turn to King Arthur who takes a stand on a nearby rock.
"Ready, men!" King Arthur yells to us with his sword in the air. "Whoever gets that troll gets a fiefdom!"
"Huzzah!" Sir Lancelot yells with his sword mimicking Arthur's.
"Huzzah!" The rest of the knights call—except for Steve and I who awkwardly look to eachother.
