Breaking out all the trolls from their cages was apparently the easy part.
Our plan of getting everyone out of Camelot was halted by the sound of Steve singing, and for once I was glad to hear his voice.
"My lord Arthur's in the building." Steve sings loudly, somehow managing to get his voice to carry all the way to the dungeons. "Watch out, y'all. He's here to do some creep-killing. Get out of here."
Everyone was silent for a moment, the anxiety in the room getting to an all time high. I nervously step closer to Jim, our sides grazing against each other's.
"Now, now, everyone just stay calm." Douxie whispers sternly to the large group of trolls, goblins and gremlins.
Not a second after he said that, the group all screamed and yelled in fear before they go charging towards the exit of the dungeons. They don't even try to not knock the one who saved them (Me!) and instead cause me to go tumbling into Jim's arms (who could barely hold himself up as it is) while Douxie goes falling to the ground.
It was chaos.
I quickly regain my balance while Douxie stands back to his feet, all of us watching the backs of the trolls before they disappear from the dungeons.
"Uhhh...now what?" I ask Douxie.
"We run." Douxie states, and off we went.
I make sure to quickly throw Jim's arm around my shoulder as I try and balance the weak troll, while also attempting to keep up with a Douxies fast pace. We even had that female troll run with us, which was nice and considerate of her considering all the other trolls ran for their lives.
"Is this part of your plan?" Archie asks Douxie incredulously as we run out of the castle (the castle gate was completely knocked off its hinges) and through the streets of Camelot looking for an escape.
"I'm improvising!" Douxie exclaims as he fiddles with his magic bracelet.
"Improvise better!" I exclaim back, casting the female troll a worried look as she decides to turn into the alleyway.
I quickly focus back on Jim.
"Are you alright?" I stress as the troll grunts slightly.
I practically had him smothered at my side. His arm was tight around my shoulders while my arm was wrapped tightly around his waist.
"Yeah, yeah I'm alright." Jim grunts, making me cast him another worried look.
He's such a liar.
I continue to lead Jim as we follow after Douxie and Claire, being careful when we quickly walk down the stairs.
It was then that we heard the familiar voice of King Arthur close by.
"Did you see where they went?" We heard him ask in a hurry.
I share an alarmed look with Claire before the girl quickly beckons me and Jim behind a wall near a doorway. I don't waste a second and lean my back against it, leaving Douxie on the other side to deal with King Arthur.
"Quick in here! This way, sir! Don't worry sir, I'll freeze them on the spot." I hear Douxie say.
My body is practically flat against the wall as I listen to the footsteps of King Arthur and his guards getting closer. I look to the other side of the doorway and catch eyes with Claire—the two of us sharing alarmed looks.
"Then do it! This way, men!" King Arthur commands before he goes running through the doorway, all of us holding our breaths. "Charge!"
And that's when Douxie quickly used his magic bracelet to create a portal right in front of King Arthur—the King charging through without realising while his guards follow, only for them to pop back out of a portal behind them—the cycle continuing over and over.
I take this distraction of Douxies infinite hallway and quickly start leading Jim down the hallway again, Claire quickly following behind and watching our backs.
I watch Jim worriedly as he brings a hand to his chest, quickly trying to cover up his pain when he catches my worried eyes.
"Jim-" I start to say, but I cut myself off when I hear voices from behind a corner.
I grab Jim's arm and pull him away swiftly while Claire sneaks a peak over—looking back to me and confirming my suspicions.
Guards.
I lean Jim against the wall and wait with a halted breath as the guards start to step closer and closer towards us—but before I can blink, a firey dragon appears above our heads.
The guards yell out in terror, running away without a second thought and leaving Jim, Claire and I—as well as the few trolls they were harassing.
"Dragon on the loose!"
"Get out!"
"Dragon!"
The guards continue to yell before they're voices die out.
I look behind us to see our saviour, but am shocked to find Morgana standing there with her staff in hand.
"Morgana, I-" Claire attempts to explain, but Morgana cuts her off.
"I couldn't stand by either. Go!" She commands.
I don't waste a second before re wrapping my arm around Jim's waist as his arm goes around my shoulders—the two of us quickly making our way towards the trolls that are running out of Camelot through the gates.
We're so close.
"Come on, skinny legs. I know a safe place, in the woods." The female troll calls to Jim, and a sudden thought comes to mind.
I can't go with him.
As much as the thought of leaving Jim hurts, I know it's the only way. I'm a human and I'd never be allowed to follow the rest of the trolls, not like Jim. I have to let him go. It's the only way to keep him safe.
I quickly halt in my steps and remove Jim's arm from my shoulders—gaining a confused look from the troll.
"Y/n-?" Jim starts to say but I cut him off.
"I can't follow you." I say quickly, knowing that time is running out and I can't waste his precious escape time with a proper goodbye.
"What, no-" Jim starts to say.
"Jim. You have to go. Lead them to safety, I'll find you again, I promise." I tell him in a rush, the anxiety of Jim not escaping and the chaos around me heightening my nerves.
"No, Y/n-" Jim denies, wanting anything but for us to be separated again.
"I love you, Trollhunter." I say, just as the female troll runs over and picks up Jim with ease, but he doesn't let go of my hand.
"Y/n-!" Jim yells, his hand holding tightly onto mine before it slowly slips and he's whisked away from me.
I let out a shaky breath as I watch him and the trolls run towards the gates, but I then notice King Arthur and the guards getting closer towards them—and the gates aren't shut.
"Shit, shit, shit." I curse as I quickly climb a ladder to the top of a house, getting the perfect view of the gates that still aren't shutting.
I glance to the guards and the gates before I quickly hold out my hands, F/c wisps floating around them before it surrounds the gates and they slam shut.
I hear the guards yell out as they jam their weapons, attempting to open it, but I hold it shut—hoping to Merlin that no one looks up to find me using magic.
I'm practically in the open here.
But even with me holding the gates shut, the trolls have no where to go as the sun starts to rise. I watch in terror as the sun starts to get closer and closer towards the trolls—all of which back up towards the gates but have to take another step forward due to the guards poking their weapons through, attempting to jab at them.
There was nothing I could do as I watch the sun get closer. As powerful as I know I am, I can't control the sun.
It was in that moment of dread that I spotted Claire on the bridge of the gates, a determined expression on her face.
Can she—?
She can.
Claire's eyes went black while her pupils went purple, her hands raised—and with a lot of struggle, darkness started to cover the sun.
The trolls don't question the sudden shade and went running towards the woods where the rest of the trolls are waiting for them.
When I know the trolls have gotten far enough, I finally release my hold on the gates and rush back down to the ground, making my way to the castle walls to Claire.
"Claire!" I yell as I rush towards the panting girl, placing a hand on her back as she attempts to catch her breath. "That was amazing!"
"Thanks." She pants with a small smile.
Douxie then appeared, and he seemed to be as bewildered as I was at Claire's magic.
"By the seven rings, how did you manage that?" Douxie laughs, just as Claire drops to the ground.
"Claire!" I yell, catching her head before it hits the ground and softly laying her on her back.
"Whoa, easy, easy." Douxie says, kneeling down next to the girl—the two of us sharing a worried look.

"Arthur is furious." Douxie states in panic, nervously pacing back and forth in our little hideout room.
After the fiasco that happened twenty minutes ago, we all decided we needed to regroup. There was too much going on, and we needed a safe space.
"Figured as much. He got tricked by the creatures he looks down on. That must be a serious blow to his ego." I state as I sit cross legged on the floor, glancing to a sleeping Steve before deciding to just let him sleep.
"This is serious, Y/n. He's locked down the whole bloody castle!" Douxie exclaims in panic.
"Luckily, he thinks your so incompetent, you can't be a suspect." Archie sasses gaining a chuckle from me.
The flying cats funny, I'll give him that.
"Look, at least we got Jim and the prisoners out of here." I shrug, knowing that this whole time, Jim has been my main concern.
"Exactly, at least they're safe. We however-" Claire starts to say.
"-are not." I finish as we smirk at eachother.
Douxie stares at us for a moment before he suddenly makes a move towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Archie drawls out in confusion.
"To get that Time Map." Douxie says, causing me to internally scream (finally!). "With Arthur on the hunt, I've got a chance to finally snatch that thing."
"Goodluck!" I call out as he shuts the door behind him.
He'll need it.

I've literally written 6 chapters for two bloody episodes
Why do I write so much? I mean this chapter was shorter than usual but that's just because the episode ended and I don't like mixing episodes and chapters lol
Y/n and Jim are separated once more...very heartbreaking, I know
Couldn't even give them a cute goodbye because there was so much shit going on, I hope you liked it nonetheless
I've also been in another bad LOTR phase and it does not help that I can't find any good fanfiction (that I haven't already read) for Legolas and Aragorn. It's heartbreaking for me
