'And he has a whole ass sword and your worried about me with a knife?'

I watch as Jim stares at his amulet with a worried expression on my face. I can practically see the gears turning in his head as he debates destroying the thing that he believes changed his life.
"To find Merlin's tomb, the Trollhunter must destroy the amulet" Blinky explains as he, Toby and Blinky's brother crowd around Jim's amulet while Claire and I sit on Jim's bed. "That's-"
"-you really think it was Merlin making the amulet?" Jim asks Claire, completely cutting off Blinky.
"I wasn't finished" Blinky says annoyed. "That's deranged!"
"I saw vague memories in my head left over from Morgana" Claire explains, attempting to defend herself as everyone seems to not believe her.
"Your saying Jim should destroy his amulet cause you think you saw some old man put a map inside of it?" Toby asks bewildered as I roll my eyes.
"Yes Toby, that's exactly what she's saying. She's said it ten times already!" I snap at the boy, annoyed that we keep repeating the same conversation.
"It was Merlin" Claire says in a determined voice. "The key to finding his tomb, to finding his staff, is inside his amulet"
I look back to Jim, seeing the unconvinced look on his face. I know he doesn't want to destroy the amulet, because he doesn't believe he's anything without his amulet. It's quite silly if you ask me, seeing as the amulet didn't make him a hero, it just made it easier for him.
"The girl-child may be on to something" Blinkys brother, Dictatious (I hate that I now know his name) says. "The amulet and the staff are connected"
"Both fuelled by the magic of Merlin" Blinky finishes.
"But if Jim breaks open his amulet, he can't armour up! And if he can't armour up, goodbye, eclipse blade! How's he supposed to kill Gunmar?" Toby rants in a hysterical tone.
"Jim doesn't technically need his amour to fight Gunmar, I'm sure we can find another way" I say with my arms crossed, but Jim didn't look too convinced.
"Look, if we don't get the staff first, none of that will matter anyway" Claire says as she looks to everyone.
"Maybe I don't have to destroy the amulet" Jim says as he stares at the amulet in his hand.
"Jim-" I sigh, knowing he's trying to find excuses to keep it.
"No, hear me out. You said Gunmar has Aaarrrgghh captive right?" Jim asks Blinky.
"And Aaarrrgghh could be used as an emotional anchor" Blinky continues to say as Claire catches on.
"We'd portal-jump right to him" Claire nods.
"But then what would we do?" I ask with my arms crossed. "I'm sure Gunmar has a trap set out for us"
"We'll worry about that when we get there. For now, the plan is set" Jim says as he looks to all of us. "We save Aaaarrrgghh and stop Gunmar by any means necessary before he acquires the staff"
Everyone seems to nod their heads happy with the plan, but I can't help but think of everything that could go wrong with it.

"I can't say we approve of all your life choices, but if your going to run off, your going to be prepared" Javier says as he holds a red backpack out to Claire. "It's got a poncho in there, waterproof matches, a flashlight, chorizo-"
"Dad, Jim's got a sword made of Daylight and your giving me chorizo?" Claire asks with an embarrassed look on her face.
"It'll be a little taste of home" Ophelia says as she brings Claire into a tight hug before looking up to me. "Y/n, get in here"
I chuckle as I walk forward and join the group hug. The Nunez's have always been like a second family to me, and I can't help the giddy smile on my face when I join the group hug.
"Uhhh, Y/n" My mum calls as she awkwardly stands near the doorway with a F/c backpack.
I get released from the group hug and slowly walk over to my mum, unsure how this conversation will go.
"Honey, I know I haven't been there for you, and I am truly sorry. I have no one to blame for it but myself...I realise that now" My mum says desperately before holding out the backpack. "I want to be there for you, so take this"
I grab the backpack with an unsure look on my face before unzipping it and gasping.
"Mum! You packed a knife!" I yell as I hold a sharp long knife with a crazy look on my face.
"It's for protection! You never know!" My mum defends herself as we both let out small laughs. "Please be careful, and when you get back, I'll be right here, I promise"
"Thanks mum" I say with a small smile as I feel tears build up in my eyes but I force them down.
I drop the backpack and bring my mum into a tight hug that clearly catches her off guard. She stands still for a second before I feel her wrap her arms around me tightly, letting out a shaky breath.
"Toby, I packed your favourite, Diablo Maxiumus breakfast burrito. Along with an extra pair of undies!" Toby's nana says to the boy as she starts to pull the underwear out of the bag, but Toby forces them back in with a nervous chuckle.
"Uh...thank you nana" Toby says with a nervous chuckle as he quickly a grabs the bag and zips it up. "I will take these two things that are completely unrelated"
I grimace at remembering the incident with Senor Uhl and the breakfast burrito, and secretly hope that Toby accidentally loses it (meaning I will burn that bag if I have too).
"No underwear for me?" Jim asks his mum with a cheeky smirk as Barbara chuckles before bringing Jim into a tight hug.
"Just call, okay? Text every once in a while. Oh, and take pictures so I know your safe" Barbara says as she softly brings her hand to Jim's face.
"Stay here" Blinky says to his brother as he pats his shoulder. "Your my brother. And I still don't trust you"
We all meet together. Our backpacks on and weapons out.
"You guys ready?" Claire asks as she clicks her staff open with a smirk.
"Always am" I smirk as I pull out my knife, catching Claire off guard as she yells and steps back.
"Why do you have a knife?!" Claire asks in bewilderment as I shrug and toss it from hand to hand.
"Going away gift from mum" I say with smirk before pointing to Jim with the knife. "And he has a whole ass sword and your worried about me with a knife?"
"I'm worried about you with any sharp object" Claire says as I roll my eyes and shove her shoulder.
"For the glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to command" Jim suddenly says as he levitates in the air, his armour and sword appearing before he drops back down. "Let's get our friend back"
Claire opens the portal and we don't waste a second before we all jump in, not knowing what to expect on this dangerous mission.

We appear on the other side of the portal and we seem to be in some kind of cave. It's dark and I can't see anything except for some light up ahead.
"Stay alert. Gunmar could be anywhere" Jim says to us as we all hold our weapons tightly.
"Where are we exactly?" I ask as I nervous look around.
Jim doesn't get to answer as he lets out a small shriek at a nearby rat running on the ground.
"The great Trollhunter is scared of a rat? Never would have guessed" I tease the boy as he rolls his eyes at me, nudging my shoulder with his.
"Hilarious" He says dryly.
We all watch as the rat continues to run forward before it hits a yellow beam and disintegrates.
I gasp and look up to find Aaarrrgghh in the same cage that Jim was once stuck in. And that cage was made by Angor Rot, who's supposed to be dead.
"Oh no" I mumble as I stare at a frozen Aaarrrgghh, stuck in the horrible cage made of yellow beams that will sizzle you in a second if you touch it.
"Aaarrrgghh!" Jim gasps as we all walk forward.
"Wingman!" Toby cries as he drops his hammer and runs towards the cage.
"No, stop!" Blinky cries as I quickly grab Toby's arm to stop him running any further. "It's a trap!"
"It's a stasis trap" I say as I look to familiar green stones around the cage. "The only troll we know who can make this is-"
"-Angor Rot" Blinky finishes as he glances to the cage. "And he's upgraded it!"
"Umm, those are dwarkstones" Claire says as she points to the green stones. "If we deactivate the stasis, this whole place is gonna blow"
"Aaarrrgghh, my friend, they've used you as bait to kill us all" Blinky tells the troll as Aaarrrgghh lets out a small grunt, still completely frozen.
"We gotta get him out of there!" Toby cries as he looks to him.
"But how?" I ask as I look around the place for anything that could help.
"Use your magic or something!" Toby says to me but Aaarrrgghh stops him.
"No, wingman" Aaarrrgghh grunts out. "You leave"
"No! We're not giving up!" Toby says to the troll before shrieking as more rats run past before scurrying into the small cracks in the ground.
"Guys, I got an idea" Jim says as he looks down the crack in the floor.

"Okay, Toby drops the hammer into the ground, Y/n uses her powers to levitate the dwarkstones into the air, only leaving one so it explodes a hole in the ground so we can all jump down below" Jim explains to all of us as I stand with my arms crossed.
"The warhammers power and weight might be enough to override the trap" Blinky says with a smile before it turns blank. "Or it'll fail, Toby will disintegrate into nothingness and we'll die with the explosion"
"Fun" I say blankly, not particularly liking the plan but we don't have much else.
"Even if it works, what if we drop into something worse?" Claire asks worriedly.
"Than this? I'll take my chances" Jim says before readying his hands to give Toby a boost into the air. "Tobes, are you ready?"
"Ready to possibly kill us all and die in failure? Yeah" Toby nods before sprinting forward with his hammer. "For Aaarrrgghh!"
Jim launches Toby into the air as the boy spins around before throwing his hammer downwards into the trap, the hammer creating a giant thunk as the ground starts to crack and the trap falls down.
The dwarkstones all quickly fall to the ground, the beeping going off as I gasp, quickly raising my hands and floating all but one Dwärkstone into the air.
We clearly didn't think this plan through. The Dwarkstones blow up and creates a hole that we all fall into, but the stones that I levitated blew up on the ceiling and created an avalanche of falling rocks that fell down the hole with us.
We all scream as we fall, Jim grabbing onto me and putting himself below so I fall on him as we reach the ground. But it doesn't stop there as the rocks come falling down, Aaarrrgghh quickly covering everyone with his body as my vision blurs from the dust and my ears echo from the rumble of stones falling.
The dust soon starts to clear as everyone lets out croaky coughs.
"Is everyone alright?" Jim asks as he helps me up from the ground, holding his sword in his other hand to bring light.
I quickly shake my hands around as they soon start to glow their normal F/c, bringing more light so everyone can see eachother.
It was then that I looked up to Aaarrrgghh and let out a small laugh of disbelief.
"Wingman!" Toby cheers as he brings Aaarrrgghh into a hug, everyone quickly following as we all stand in a random cave hugging.
"What is this place?" Blinky suddenly asks as we all look around our surroundings.
"Smells old" Aaarrrggghh grunts as I take a step forward and look down into the small cavern in the middle.
"Looks old" I comment, not realising what I'm looking at.
"Remarkable!" Blinky gasps as he stands next to me. "An ancient gyre"
We all quickly go down the steps towards the gyre, going inside once we reach it.
"Why would there be a gyre here?" Jim asks as he stands next to me in the gyre.
"It doesn't even have controls" Blinky comments as he brings his hands to where the controls would normally be, but all that's there is a rock tablet with lines on it. "Master Jim, your amulet!"
Jim steps forward, taking his amulet off and touching it to the tablet, but if doesn't fit.
"It won't fit" Blinky says confused.
"No, but the blue stone inside will" Jim says in realisation. "Claire, it's what you saw in your visions. If I break the amulet, it will lead us to Merlin's tomb"
Jim places his amulet on a rock before walking over to Toby and taking his warhammer as I watch with a heavy heart.
We all know how much that amulet means to him, and we all know how tough this must be to destroy the thing his worked so hard to protect.
"Master Jim, are you sure you want to do this?" Blinky asks softly. "The amulet is your sacred charge"
"I know" Jim mumbles.
"If you destroy the amulet, it's gone forever" Blinky continues to say.
"Forever and ever. I get it" Jim says in an annoyed tone.
"Just making sure" Blinky says as he places his hand on Jim's shoulder.
"Thank you. But if we want to catch up with Gunmar and Angor Rot, we have to find the tomb" Jim says as I walk over to him and lay my hand on his shoulder with a smile.
"I know how much the amulet means to you Jim, and I'm proud of you for making this decision" I say softly as I smile at the boy and kiss his cheek, pulling away and watching as Jim smiles at me fondly.
"Thanks Y/n/n" Jim mumbles softly before nodding to himself and walking over to the amulet.
He stands infront of it with the hammer held above his head, ready to strike it.
"For the glory of Merlin" Jim mumbles before swinging the hammer down.
The sound of the amulet smashing echoes through the cave as a gush of blue wisps fly outwards along with a gust of wind.
Jim slowly pulls the hammer off to reveal the broken amulet sitting on the rock. Jim quickly gathers the pieces and places the blue stone on the tablet in the gyre.
It takes a second before a blue map appears making all of us gasp as we lean forward to look.
"Whoa! The map! Claire, you were right" Jim says in disbelief as Claire jokingly scoffs.
"I'm always right" She says with a smirk as I roll my eyes.
"Debatable" I say as she gasps and nudges me making me giggle.
The gyre suddenly starts to glow a dark blue as it rattles and the parts start to move. I gasp and grab onto Jim's arm as the whirling sounds of the gears gives me the idea that we're about to move.
"If this is fate, I really hope we're not destined to die" Toby yells nervously.
"Only one way to find out!" Claire yells back before we all scream loudly as the gyre zooms off at an immense speed, giving us no way to change our minds.

Also I am so happy that Y/n has her powers back bc it makes things more interesting and fun to write
I also realised that she never has her powers at the start of each season LMFAO why do I keep doing that! I think I'm so original with the same plot twist of Y/n losing her powers AHAHAH
