Sitting outside of a cafe just a few miles outside of town I hang up the pay phone in frustration before making my way back to the boys "your, uh, half-caf, double vanilla latte is gettin' cold over here, Francis." Dean said with a smirk on his face as he looked at me "bite me." I said taking a seat next to him "so, anything?" Sam asked me "I had 'em check the FBI's missing persons data bank. No John Doe's fitting dad's description. I even ran his plates for traffic violations." I sighed as I rubbed my temple.
"Dia, I'm tellin' ya, I don't think dad wants to be found." Dean said sending a glance my way "check this out. It's a news item out of Planes Courier. Ankeny, Iowa. It's only about a hundred miles from here." Sam said passing me the laptop "the mutilated body was found near the victim's car, parked on 9-Mile Road." I said looking up at them "keep reading." Dean replied
"Authorities are unable to provide a realistic description of the killer. The sole eyewitness, whose name has been withheld, is quoted as saying the attacker was invisible." I said with shock written all over my face "could be something interesting." Sam said "or it could be nothing at all. One freaked-out witness, who didn't see anything? Doesn't mean it's the Invisible Man." I sarcastically replied "but what if it is? Dad would check it out." Dean said.
[.....] Ankeny, Iowa A few hours later we finally arrive pulling up to a fraternity house as I look around in confusion "one more time, why are we here?" I asked them as I stuck my head in between the seats to look at them "victim lived here. You stay here." Dean said as he turned around to look at me "yep, dually noted." I replied before they hopped out of the car making their way inside as I sit in the back waiting for them.
