Steve Rogers
You were particularly happy today, why? It was your birthday. You smiled and hummed while you worked just happy to get home and spend the rest of your time today with Steve. You told him he didn't have to get you anything or even take you out that as long as he spent time with you that would be enough to make you happy. You couldn't keep tabs on him though, being busy with keeping everything working properly on your level in the Helicarrier made that impossible. You were finally done and able to check your phone for any new messages and there were plenty of them. Most of them were just telling you happy birthday or Tony saying something sweet followed by something sarcastic but it made you laugh and smile anyways. You couldn't wait to get home and all you could think about was curling up on the couch with Steve and watching movies most of the night. When you came home you could hear Steve muttering in the other room so you called out to him, shutting the door behind you "Steve?" he answered "in the kitchen!" you raised an eyebrow but went into the kitchen after setting you things down on the couch along the way. Walking into the room it was unbelievably different "Steve. . .this looks incredible!" you smiled taking in the surroundings, there was your table set for two with a bouquet of flowers next to a card and a small wrapped box on one side for you. They sat next to a plate full of food and a small glass of wine matching his set across from you, looking up into the blue eyes of the man that did this for you, you noticed he was dressed in a button up white shirt and black dress pants. His hair was slicked back and he looked flustered but smiled kindly at you, "th-thank you so very much, I thought I told you not to get me anything though and-" he gave you a quick soft kiss and whispered "anything for you." He pulled out the chair for you and you two ate while talking about anything and everything, always able to keep the conversation going. After eating you decided to open the card first, the front was a heart and ready Happy Birthday! while the inside of the card said: I love you and I hope that your birthday is as incredible as you are! ~Steve. You smiled placing the card back on the table and turning your attention to the box that sat neatly next to it. You unwrapped it while Steve sipped on his drink nervously "relax, you know I'll love whatever it is because you got it for me" you smiled and he seemed to relax ever so slightly as you opened the box. Sitting within the small box was a beautiful blue heart shaped necklace, it was sparkling and you held it up examining the gem smiling. Steve stood up, walked over to you and took the necklace motioning for you to turn around "let me get it for you" he slipped it around your neck clipping it together before pulling you against him. "Thank you again, I could not have asked for a better day" you giggled "though I must day I am not dressed for the occasion at all and you look absolutely ravishing in that outfit" you turned in his arms with a devious look in your eyes causing his face to flush red. Best. Birthday. Ever.
Tony Stark
There was nothing he wouldn't do for you to be happy on your birthday so when you told him that all you wanted was to spend the day with him around the tower. You specifically just wanted to be with him today, it was far too cold to be outside and you were in no mood to do work so you begged him a week in advance to just spend the day with you and no big party. You were excited and happy that he had finally relented and agreed to not throw you a party but refused the offer when you said no gift, he was going to get you something. You two were talking, cuddling on the couch while a movie played in the background. You excused yourself for a moment to use the restroom while Tony sat out in the entertainment room waiting. You were unaware that in your absence the billionaire had the time to get your gifts and put them on the coffee table for you to open when you came back. You rolled your eyes when you noticed them and Tony shrugged "told you I was going to get you something" he pointed out and you picked up a flat box and opened it. Your eyes nearly popped out of your head when you held up the mostly due to embarrassment and surprise. You heard him chuckle before giving you a kiss "expect to see that later, bad luck not to wear the things you get for your birthday" he winked and your face went red "here" he handed you the second box and you opened it, it was much smaller than the previous one and so you hoped it was something less embarrassing. In fact, it was, looking up at you was a beautiful pair of red diamond earrings sparkling in the lights that beamed down from above you. They were gorgeous and as you put them in you grinned "thank you Tony, for both gifts" after clipping the back to the second earring you grabbed his face and kissed him making him smirk into the kiss. you winked before cutting the television off and whispering in his ear before getting up "how about I go try this on?" needless to say, but he followed you like a lost puppy to your room. You wouldn't have the garment on very long though because he wasn't a very patient man though he did say you looked incredibly sexy in it. This would be one birthday you wouldn't soon forget.
Bruce Banner
Getting Bruce away from the lab some days were near impossible and others he came with you with little to no resistance at all and lucky for you this was one of those times. All you wanted was to have a nice dinner with him and then he could go back to doing whatever tests he was before you stole him away from his precious lab. You were worried that he had forgotten your birthday, worried that work would be more important than this one day you wanted with him. You were dressed in a simple, yet nice, outfit ready to go while he finished getting ready in the bathroom. He was so modest it made you laugh, too shy to even admit you two had been intimate before or acknowledge the fact you have seen each other naked in the worst possibly place. You noticed he was dressed exceptionally well but looked really nervous, "relax, it's just for dinner then you can go back to your lab" you smiled linking your arm with his before heading out. You two had a great time but he never once said happy birthday to you or even hinted at the fact that he even remembered and this really upset you but you tried to act calm knowing he was probably just stressed out. You two had made it home and while you changed in the bedroom he waited for you in the living room fiddling with a box and a card. You thought he had been long gone back to the lab so when you came into the room wearing pajamas and one of his older shirts you were flushed red with embarrassment. "B-Bruce, I though you left!" you managed to blabber out before sitting next to him, he handed you the card and box "I'm not the best with gifts so I had some help. . .but that doesn't matter" he smiled slightly looking up at you "Happy birthday" you nearly started crying because you were so happy. You opened the card and read his ind words. I know I'm not very good at these but I hope you have a happy birthday. I love you and. . .the other guy seems to really like you too so here's to another year older and more time together. You chuckled at his awkward words but nothing made you happier than his attempts at being romantic, you attention turned from the card to the box. Opening it revealed a wonderfully shiny and beautiful green gem necklace it reminded you of him because of the green and you, on instinct, hugged him tight whispering "thank you so much! This is so very wonderful" you were crying from excitement and happiness. He hugged you back, holding you until you calmed down enough to talk again "I love you, thank you for the best birthday I've had in a long long time" he smiled, a small grin reserved for only you "I love you too and it was nothing for you."
Thor Odinson
Thor, oh wonderful and loving Thor, he showered you with gifts even if it was unnecessary so getting things from him was nothing new but for some reason it was always more special on those special occasions. Your birthday was today and you had yet to see Thor's lovely face, you were sure he was only busy and would be back in a few hours so in the mean time you decided to head out to the gardens far east from here and watched the birds fly about within the flower beds. You loved this area of Asgard but you were partial to any place that was this peaceful, humming an old tune you learned from Frigga you watched as the birds seemed to flutter along with the notes you produced. It was wonderful but you wished for Thor to be there and experience this with you and so you called out to him, "Thor? Oh dearest I wish you to be here with me, I miss you so much" you touched a slightly wilted flower breathing life into it once more, "that flower, pale in compared to your life or your beauty" you nearly jumped out out of your skin "Love!" you cried out hugging him tight. He chuckled knowing he startled you "you did call for me, how was I to ignore my dearests call?" You grinned unable to be mad at his charming personality "turn around and close your eyes" he asked, and trusting him you did as he asked. You felt something cool touch your neck and his hand clip something together, "you may open your eyes" you opened them and looked down and noticed the lovely shine of a queen crown necklace it was beautiful, like many things he had given you but this one was special "for you, my queen" he whispered before kissing you "thank you, Thor, thank you so very much" you mindlessly messed with the pendent smiling like a goofball. You looked up into his baby blue eyes and whispered "this has been the best birthday in many centuries" before hugging him.
Loki Laufeyson
You hardly ever received anything from Loki other than his time and affection and that was more than enough for you. You weren't too thrilled to be turning another year older but seeing as how you were Asgardian and age really didn't matter you were not expecting the feast that Loki had thrown you. You were surprised to say the least because Frigga had told you he planned everything just for you. You smiled greeting everyone in your emerald green gown, your hair put up just the way Loki said he always loved it, and a genuine smile plastered on your lightly made-up face. You sat next to him and whispered as people chatted over the food "dearest, there is no way to thank you enough for what you have done for me" you smiled giving him a peck on the cheek "oh but this is only the beginning" you watched the stars afterwards and were given a gift from everyone in attendance as they left. You were exceptionally happy, feeling an overwhelming amount of love coming from your new found family, You sat with Loki in your chambers as he read a book aloud to you, like a child it made you feel content to have him read to you. You smiled at all the right times and giggled at the others, he adored the way you looked so at peace when he sat alone reading to you. He closed the book once he was done and you clapped softly "one more, please?" he chuckled but shook his head "I saved the best gift for last," he kissed you "here" he offered you a rectangular shaped box. You opened it and smiled taking in all of the sparkling the two gems did as you placed it on your wrist, it was a golden bracelet "thank you, My Grace" he grinned hearing that before kissing you again. You leaned against his chest as he rested flat with you "goodnight and happy birthday, I know I do not show my appreciation for your affections enough but I hope tonight was to your liking" you giggled and placed you hand on his chest "goodnight Loki and it far exceeded anything I expected and I could not be happier than I am with you." Not too long after you two stopped talking did you fall asleep on his chest, he was not but he held you for a majority of the night making sure he was there when you woke up.
Clint Barton
Clint did not strike you as the gift giving type, he would wish you happy birthday and spend time with you but you just never expected anything from him gift related. You weren't upset about that, quite the opposite really, you loved his time and didn't see a reason for him to have to spend money on you to make you happy. You didn't much care for jewelry anyways, it was always far too sparkly or dangled and got in the way. You were taking the day off to spend with Clint as per usual but this time he got called off last second for some mission with Natasha so it was just you and Steve. You called him over after Clint was called away, you wanted some company at least for a little while and so you both watched movies until about five in the afternoon when Steve had to leave for his training. You gave him a quick hug and saw him off not long after that returning to the couch were you sat before. You were sad and bored, missing Clint's company but not surprised that he had this last minute mission. You were unaware that he was missing you too and talked with Natasha about things he should get for you to surprise you. It was midnight by the time he got home and you had long been asleep on the couch with the television off, he placed the box with a note on the table next to you and placed a blanket over you before getting some sleep himself. You woke up to the sounds of pans moving in the kitchen and the smell of bacon in the oven, you smiled turning your head towards the table seeing the box and note on top of it. Picking them both up you read the note first, I'm sorry I couldn't spend your birthday with you but happy birthday little bird. I hope you like the gift! ~Clint. You smiled, sitting up and opening the box, the leather bracelet with a bow and arrow charm in the middle of it sat neatly waiting to be placed on your wrist and you did so eagerly. You got up forgetting you were only wearing on of his shirts and some underwear you walked into the kitchen. You smiled "thank you for this" you blushed when he eyed you after setting the plates down. You sat with your legs crossed in the chair next to him "no, thank you for this" he pointed to your outfit "I can think of a few ways we can spend the rest of the day" he winked and began eating, you did too but not without furiously blushing every time he looked at you. He placed the plates in the sink before grabbing you up "come on, let's make the best out of today while we can" he purred and kissed you softly. You couldn't say no to him and followed him willingly spending your day late birthday in bed with him.
James "Bucky" Barnes
Just your luck you would be sick on your birthday and now you were alone because Bucky had to leave with Steve for some 'undercover' work, you called hogwash but didn't question his intentions. You curled up on the couch in the Stark tower entertainment room, a box of tissues to your right and the remote to your left; you were set. You groaned as the headache slowly crept into your temples and rested there until you fell asleep cuddling a pillow with some old movie playing in the background. He was waling around the city with Steve, he was on a mission alright, a mission to find you a gift for your birthday; and he was determined to get something you'd like. He chatted with Steve quietly in a clothing store, they were both completely out of their element but they tried hard to be too suspicious but they failed. The salesman noticed then and approached "can I help you two with anything?" Bucky was going to say no but Steve answered for him "yes, we're looking for a specific item. . ." Bucky walked into the tower with two bags in hand, Steve had seen him off at the lower level to train in the gym. He found you asleep on the couch after looking everywhere for you, he noticed the mound of tissues and your clearly discomforted look when he woke you up. "Happy birthday" he brushed back some stray hairs from your face and placed them behind your ear "it doesn't feel like a very happy day" you grumbled sitting up to let him sit with you. He gave you a sympathetic half smile when he held up a bag "here, um, I know it's not much but I thought you'd like it" he looked nervous "I remember you telling me how much you hated jewelry" you opened the bag and saw bundled at the bottom and you grinned pulling it out and examining it. The fabric was soft and below the shirt was a card and you picked it up and read the corny love poem with a chuckle. "Thank you Bucks, this was very sweet of you" you said in a clearly stuffy voice before giving him a tight hug "I hope you like it, I know-" you gave him a quick peck on the lips before leaning against his chest "wanna watch whatever the heck this is, with me?" you pointed towards the television and he nodded pulling you close. Best sick birthday a girl could ask for.
