Penny In My Pocket

Kevin smirked slightly.

"I like it when you blush, you look absolutely adorable"

"Stoppp" I whined, covering my face with my hand

"Oh, fine.. only because we're at the table. It's uncomfortable to flirt during dinner. But the second you leave this table, I'm continuing"

"..fine" I smirked

We continued on with dinner, making conversation about what life would be like back in Boston. He promised me we would visit the bar from Cheers this time, which I was very happy about.

His mother got us all wine, which Kevin ended up not liking very much. He loves wine, but this one wasn't to his taste. He usually prefers whiskey or scotch anyway. I loved it, though. Kevin drank some of his out of curtesy, but ended up giving me the rest. I love wine, but it always makes me flushed. Unlike other alcohols that go straight to my head, wine just makes me flushed and a little tired.

"I should- I should probably finish pack- packing up.. Kevvy, do you want to help?"

"Yeah, that sounds great.. you don't mind if we leave you for a while, do you?" He asked his mother

"Oh, no, go ahead. I'll make do."

Kevin and I headed up to his bedroom, flipping on the lights.

Most was packed already, we only had a little bit left to do.

I sat down on his bed.

"I thought you wanted to pack? Oh- if you're tired, I can do it, I don't mind"

"That- That... was just an excuse to get you here... though I-I do love watching you lift those boxes.."

"Was there something you wanted to talk about?" He sat down next to me, ready to console me if need be.

"No, it's nothing like that. You were making me blush pretty... h-hard back there.. I've been wanting to get a kiss in for a while, b-but I didn't want to in front of your.. your mother.."

"Oh, I see.."

"Yeah..."

"Sorry if I embarrassed you.. I like seeing ya blush" he chuckled

I moved back on the bed, until I was just barely behind him, beginning to massage his shoulders. He gave a quiet, satisfied moan.

"That feels nice.." he smiled, closing his eyes

"Y-You feel a little t..tense.."

"I've been a bit on-edge.. worried about you.. I don't even like leaving you with mom so I can go to work.. I feel like I can't protect you.."

"Oh, Sweetie.."

"It's no big deal.. I'll just be relieved to finally get out of here."

"Try- Try to relax, Baby.." I mumbled, leaving a soft kiss on the side of his neck

"Mm- hi there" he giggled

"Take a breath.. y-you deserve it.. I know you're putting on a strong front to.. to comfort my fear, but you don't have to. We'll be scared together.. I-I can see it's stressing you out to hide all that away..."

"I just don't want.. want you to be scared. I want to at least keep one of us unafraid."

"You're making yourself sick.. I know we're both afraid, you're k-killing yourself over it, just.. a-allow yourself to feel that.. you're storing up all that stress, it... it's not healthy.."
