I woke to my grandfather tapping my shoulder.

"I'm just gonna head out to work, okay?" He whispered.

"Okay.. Have a good day," I mumbled, hardly awake.

He smiled and walked out of the house, leaving me to rest. I shut my eyes, running a hand through Kevin's hair, sleepily.

I inadvertently woke him as I did so, as he let out a heavy sigh and opened his eyes.

"Good morning, Connor.." He smiled lazily.

"Morning. How'd you sleep?"

"Well. You?"

"Well. I'm still tired though.."

"Me too."

"What do you say we just lay here. All. Day."

"..I have never loved you more." He giggled, setting his head back on my chest.

"Hey.." he said to grab my attention, as he closed his eyes again.

"Yes?"

"You look really cute this morning." He smiled, nuzzling his head into my chest.

"Are you being sarcastic?"

"No. you look really cute." He yawned, setting his hand on my stomach.

"thank you. You look cuter, though."

"Well, I can't say I'm not attractive... But still."

I giggled

"You're lame."

"I know, Prettyboy. I know."

"I love that nickname so much. I don't get how it could ever be used as an insult. Like.. god yes, please call me a pretty boy, I want to be called pretty." I giggled.

"I know, right?! It's a wonderful nickname..."

"It really is."

He climbed further up me, up my chest, until his head reached my shoulder.

"You're warm." He smiled, cuddling me closer.

"Are you cold?"

"A little bit."

"Do you want me to turn the heater on?"

"No. It's okay. You're warming me up."

"Alright." I pulled the blanket over him, wrapping my arms around him.

"Thank youuuu." Wrapping up in the blanket, he smiled so widely his eyes scrunched up, giving him premature and temporary crows feet.

I let couldn't help but smile in the presence of his features, giving him the involuntary heart-eyes.

"Gosh, you're cute." I grinned.

He put on an even cuter smile.

"..I'm gonna fucking melt, good lord, stop it" I giggled.

"Alright... How're you doing this morning?"

"Oh, I'm doing just swell" I shook my head slightly, a beaming smile on my face.

"Good. I like when you're happy."

"Me too. But I'm still a very sleepy boy."

"You look sleepy."

"I am. If I don't sit up, I'm gonna fall asleep."

"Just let yourself sleep."

"No. I got a full nine hours. I don't want to oversleep...Do you want to go out tonight? Maybe to that bar. My granddad's working late tonight."
