You and Belle have often called each other at odd times night and day, but when she shows up at your place late one night, you know something is wrong.

You answer the knocking at the door to find Belle standing there, suitcase in hand, and she looks like she's been crying. You step aside and say, "Come on in, then."

"Thank you." She lifts up her suitcase, but you take it and say, "Let me."

"You've caught me at a bad time," you say. "I'm in my pajamas, I don't have any tea or coffee or anything-"

"No, it's all right," she says quickly. "Please, don't worry about it."

"I feel like I should be worried," you say. "Belle, you just appeared on my doorstep crying and carrying a suitcase. What's going on? It's not the baby, is it?"

"No." She sniffles. "The baby's fine. It's Rumple. I left him."

"You mean...you dumped him?" you ask. "For good?"

"For good." She sits down on the sofa. "I can't be with him, Y/N. Not after everything that's happened. He hasn't changed, and he never will. I can't put my son in danger."

 "It's a boy?" you ask.

"Yeah." She smiles through her tears. "I'm having a baby boy. But I can't go back to Rumple."

"Is that what the suitcase is for? You moved out?"

"Yeah. I moved out. Can I stay here with you for a few days? Please? It's just until I figure out what to do next."

You look into her sad, pleading eyes and know that you can't say no to her.

"Of course you can stay." You sit down next to her. "Belle, you can stay with me as long as you need to. I won't mind, I love your company."

She smiles again and hugs you. "Thank you, Y/N. I knew coming to you would be the best thing to do."

That makes you feel a lot better about yourself, that of all the places she could have gone and people she could have gone to, she chose you and your home. And you will take care of her.
