It was now February which means that Valentine's Day was right around the corner, Becca's least favorite time of year. But not for the reasons you would think. It's not because she believes she'll die alone and hates how this time of year just reminds her of how single she is. No it's because of something completely separate from that holiday. Something that only five people know, two of them being Kurt and Finn.

For her, there was something she experienced in her past around this time that was at the darkest point of her young life... But it was also the start of her treating herself better than she ever had before. This time of year for her is almost bittersweet in that way.

But one thing Becca didn't like was thinking too much about how alone and depressed she felt back then, fearing that if she spends too much time alone thinking about it outside of therapy, she'll fall back into that headspace... Somewhere she never wants to go back to.

Rather than let one moment from her past define her life and how she spends the holiday, she's tried to reclaim it. The best she can. Which was why here she was in Lima Bean that was decked out to the T in cheesy Valentine's decorations, basically third wheeling Kurt and Blaine. Looking at all the decorations, Becca couldn't help but gag. "This is all disgustingly cute... I hate it and that's coming from someone who loves cute things."

Kurt couldn't help but agree, "I'm all for flair but these Valentine's Day decorations are just tacky. I mean, what the hell is this supposed to be?" Passing a plush of two puppies kissing to Blaine, passing a disgusted Becca who refuses to take it.

"It's clearly puppy love." Blaine told them, booping the dogs on Becca's head.

"Well it's gross," she argued.

"It's adorable."

"No she's right, it's creepy." Kurt concluded. "It's just a simple excuse to sell candy and greeting cards on a holiday."

"Agreed," Becca said looking around, "If I'm going to celebrate a holiday ruined by capitalism, I choose Christmas." That was another, very minor reason for her distaste of the holiday. Capitalism.

Blaine just groans, not liking how his two friends are so pessimistic about this holiday. "Well both of you are wrong. People have been celebrating for Valentine's Day for centuries. And call me a hopeless romantic, but it's my favorite holiday. I think there's just something really great about a day where you're encouraged to just lay it all on the line and say to somebody, I'm in love with you. You know."

Both of his friends are still not fully believing him... Well Becca isn't. Kurt's swayed. Deciding to tease her a little bit, Blaine holds up the stuffed animal again, "You could finally tell that Sam guy that you like him? I swear it looked like he only had eyes for you during Sectionals."
