The Glee Club was busy doing their own thing, waiting for Mr. Schue to show up. Becca was working with Artie and Tina who were all trying to finish the book they were supposed to have read for English next period. But their cram session was interrupted when Mr. Schue walked in, announcing that Puck was in juvie. "Are we really surprised?" Becca asked, barely glancing up from her book. "I hope he's okay, but like, are we really surprised?"
"Really it was just a matter of time." Tina agrees.
"What did he do?" Quinn asked her teacher. He explains that Puck drove his mom's Volvo through a convenience store and drove off with an ATM and it's unknown when he'll get out.
Brittany couldn't help but laugh, "He might be the dumbest person on the planet and that's coming from me."
"You're not dumb Britt." Becca said to her friend, not liking her talk bad about herself, "You're smart." Brittany couldn't help but give her friend a hug from behind.
Not liking how everyone is talking about their friend, Mr. Schue gets them to stop. Finn wasn't having it. "For a guy who puts his own needs before the teams. We need his voice and his bad boy stage presence."
"Look guys," Mr. Schue looks at his students, "We can't look at this as a crisis. It's an opportunity!"
Quinn scoffs, "For what? Further embarrassment and humiliation."
"For welcoming our newest member, Sam Evans." Mr. Schue gestures to the door where Sam runs in, Becca looking at him in surprise.
"Hey everyone!" Sam says to the group. "I'm Sam, Sam I Am. And I don't like green eggs and ham." Becca was the only one who let out a laugh at his dorky joke.
Santana, noticing this, couldn't but smirk. "Wow he has no game." She pats Becca on the shoulder, "He's perfect for you."
Becca looks back at her friend, confused before burying her face in her hands in embarrassment. Santana looked at her and then Sam's reaction of getting a bit sheepish after she said that. The wheels in Santana's head were spinning, already planning something to help her friend out since Santana knew there was no way Becca could do anything without a little push.
Finn assures Sam that he won't regret joining and tells him to sit next to Becca. As Mr. Schue drones on about duets, Becca leans over to Sam, "You didn't tell me you were finally joining?"
"I wanted to surprise you." Sam replies.
"I'm definitely surprised." Becca smiled at him, "What made you change your mind?"
Deciding to be a little bold, "Well this really cute girl constantly talks about how much she loves this club, so I figured it was about time I checked it out."
