*Evan POV*
The moon was shining red as everything in the forest was covered in a reddish hue giving off the illusion as if the forest was filled with blood and flesh.
The Blood Moon.
A special event where the moon will turn red and all the enemies would become stronger, tougher, and faster along with a special few more enemies spawning.
[Bam.] (Me)
I said nonchalantly on my brown horse as another Zombie's Head was blown apart by my Musket.
the reason he was done in by just one shot is cuz I'm using charged shot from the siege skill while sitting on the horse for increased damage at the cost of slow speed.
I still wonder why my Siege skill is not classified as a style but oh well.
Right now, the only new enemies in the blood moon are the Blood Zombie and the Drippler.
The blood zombie is just a normal zombie but turned inside out. And the Drippler is a slow-flying ball of flesh and blood with many eyes on it.
My horse would sometimes get scared but I would spam 'Calm Mind' spell on him so it was all good.
[Tis the season of the Blood Moon Tralalala Lala- BAM!] (Me)
I started singing as I shot and killed another zombie with the Musket.
Skill Unlocked: Singing (Lvl:1)
Oh hey. Another free skill.
The blood moon is quite the annoying Event but you can farm for the "Money trough" item from the blood zombies and the dripplers which is a must Item for everyone.
The money trough Item lets you spawn a flying piggy bank in which you can store all things you need, so ultimately it acts like an extra chest that you can keep with yourself which is super useful.
I made sure to message the rest of the heroes and tell 'em to farm for it cuz I don't think we'll be getting another good chance to farm it.
[Blood and Flesh falling everywhere -BAM!- with the jolly sense of humor! BAM!] (Me)
I kept shooting between my singing and for some reason, my voice had some background beats going on and I'm 100% sure it's cuz of the new skill.
If the enemy got too close to be then I would use the spell "Binding Ivy" to bind them on the ground and prevent them from hurting my horse.
"Binding Ivy" is a nature type spell that spawns some thorny ivy from the ground which tightly knots itself on the target's legs giving poison and a small amount of damage but the biggest upside is that it stops the movement of the target.
I thought Nature-type spell would all just give some kind of poison or venom, but Nature-type spells are surprisingly super useful, they all don't deal that much damage and yes that most of them give out poison, but a lot of them help in making the life of the enemy a living hell.
There's one that leeches the target's health while applying bleed on the target and giving regen to nearby allies, there's one that paralyzes the enemy, there's one the lower's the enemy's attacking power, there's one that causes fear. And many more.
There's so many Nature-type skills that are really useful and helpful that i should make a note to myself, not to piss off a nature-type Magician.
Welp, Right now I need to waste a bit more time so, horsie and I are going to Bala...uhh... Daisy's Kingdom which shouldn't be that far away.
I also need to meet my old friend who's name I have clearly not forgotten. The Blacksmith at the Guild!
I'll also try to kill as many blood zombies and whatnot I see cuz I need the money trough item.
[Me and Horsie, We're best pals, -BAM!- Trotting through the blood-red Corpses! BAM!] (Me)
I sang as my horsie trotted it's way to Daisy's kingdom.
*Sometime later*
And We're finally here!
The Adventurer's Guild!
I left horsie in the stable behind the guild along with the other horses.
The guild's sentimental wooden door was in front of me and as much as I wanted to kick the door open like I always did. I could hear hustle and bustle from inside the Guild so I decided against doing that.
I opened the door lightly.
[What's up Everyone! I'm Back!] (Me)
I saw tons of adventurer's equipped to the brim looking ready for war.
Oh yeah, it's probably cuz of the blood moon.
[Oi Everyone! Look Who's Here!] (Lark)
Everyone started cheering loudly including lark.
Liza was behind the counter as always. She was smiled a bit as she saw me.
I raised my hands to quiet down the crowd.
[Thank you, Thank you! But uhh What is everyone doing here?] (Me)
Liza quickly responded.
[The guild master has ordered all adventurers to be on standby in case the monster's breeches the entrance.] (Liza)
Liza said with her usual stoic expression.
[Ahh, well, looks like it's tough for you all...] (Me)
I already knew what was gonna happen if I stayed there any longer, so I quickly made my way upstairs.
Someone suddenly grabbed my shoulder, stopping me in my tracks.
Dam it.
I looked back and it was Lark.
[Hey, where do you think you're going?] (Lark)
lark voice had a hint of anger.
I looked at him while acting confused.
[Uhh Upstairs?] (Me)
[Don't act like this doesn't Concern You!] (Lark)
Flippen Hell, I don't have the time to help you all right now.
[What might you be talking about?] (Me)
[Do I need to remind you that you're also an adventurer?] (Lark)
Oh sh*t. I forgot about that.
[Yea... well, I got some things to do first.] (Me)
[Being on standby and helping with the blood moon is purely voluntary but the damages would be heavy in case if the monster's do breach the walls.] (Liza)
[You all seriously think that those zombies can make a hole through that giant thick wall outside?] (Me)
The stone wall is quite big, standing around the same height as a 3-story or 4-story tall building and as wide as a truck.
[No, but they can easily parade through the entrance. Since most of the soldiers are on top of the walls keeping the Demon eyes and the Dripplers in check. We come in if the zombies have breached the entrance.] (Lark)
Oh yea, I did see more than usual guards on top of the walls when I came here. I did help clear out all the monsters when I reached the entrance though.
[So That's why, you're also helping us fend off The Monsters!] (Lark)
Lark said as he placed his beefy arm on my shoulder and giving me a thumbs up with his other hand.
[Alright alright. Let me just go talk to the blacksmith first. then I'll help you all.] (Me)
[Blacksmith? You mean Arnold?] (Lark)
[Yea, him. Need to talk about something.] (Me)
[Alright, don't take too long.] (Lark)
I waved goodbye and walked up the stairs.
I also messaged Luna and told her that I would come back home in the morning.
I don't wanna go back home only to find out that Luna had been standing outside the whole night.
I knew that she might become unreasonable or something so I also told her that it's work to get income.
Now that I think about it... She's really a Spoiled Brat isn't she?
Always wanting things her way, I have a big history with spoiled brats back on earth so it looks like once again I have to set another Spoiled brat back on the correct path.
I'll fix her attitude as soon as I reach back home, so for now let's do what I came here for.
I quickly made my way to the third floor where I could hear the sounds of metal clanking.
[Arnold!] (Me)
...Who was not here.
There was a counter in front of me and a door behind the counter where Arnold presumably is.
[Hey Arnold, Come Out!] (Me)
The clanking noises stopped as a 5-foot tall dwarf emerged from the closed door.
[Ah it's Evan Havn't seen ya in a wile.] (Arnold)
He has a thick accent as always.
we exchanged pleasantries and then went straight to business. And that was to ask him about how he could make the Flintlock pistol and the sawed-off shotgun called Boomstick.
At first, he resisted a bit but then I reminded him about how both Ruby and Daisy had given me a lot of control over the Kingdom and the Guild.
Which is not a lie surprisingly. I bargained with Daisy for some amount of control at the cost that she can call me anytime she needs help. She did wanted to make me some kind of peace advocate before.
Arnold gave in and told me his secrets.
As I had predicted, He knew how to make the guns from The previous Skill Hero's dairy's torn pages.
Jackpot!
He showed me the pages and suddenly I somehow also learned how to make the guns, but that was not the most important thing.
The most important thing was.
[Where did you find these pages.] (Me)
[Hm? Teh Gild Masteh gave meh thes pages.] (Arnold)
Ruby huh?
So it looks like I have to find her now.
