'Up, lets go again...' he orders and you glare at him.
Your ankle is in the opposite direction than it's supposed to be, you must've broken it when he stood on it to block you from getting up.
'I can't!' You snap back and his head turns to you.
Uh oh.
'Do you think people out there will care if you can't stand up?, huh?, you think they will cut you some slack?' He gets closer, towering over you with a dangerous look in his eyes.
'You broke my ankle I can't-' you get interrupted by his metal hand wrapping around your neck and pulling you up.
He slams you against the wall, knocking the little air left in your lungs, out. You claw at him, trying to hurt him so he will let go.
'If you want this to end, stop resisting...' he smirks at you, he's clearly enjoying this.
He has been nothing but cold hearted to you, calling names, abusing you of a training goes wrong, or right. Always actually.
Your body isn't even fully healed yet from the last time, that's probably why he was able to even break your ankle, which hurts like a bitch.
'Please...please stop..' you choke out making him let out a chuckle.
He tosses you to the ground as he lets out another laugh just as you gasp for air, you start crawling away but he steps on your already hurting ankle making you scream out.
'You're not going anywhere, I'm not finished...I heard that your last mission went to shit...they send me here to punish you..'
'I already got punished...' you wheeze out.
'I don't believe you...' he yanks your hair and your neck cracks of the force behind it, not enough to break it but it sure does crack.
Your eyes widen when you see his fist, his metal one, launching at your face. He hits you and your lip busts open, your nose starts bleeding and your eyes involuntary tear up.
He repeats this until his fist is dripping with the crimson red fluid. You're way past fighting back, you're on the verge of passing out even.
'Please...' you beg, you can hear him pant before putting more pressure on your ankle.
Another scream tears from your throat, which flows into a whimper.
'James.. please...' you beg again and this makes him break.
That one simple name he used to have, the name he suddenly remembers that brings back the person behind the Winter Soldier. Not that you can see it because you passed out the moment he stopped putting pressure on your ankle.
He sees what he did to you, he needs to fix this, he has to. so he picks you up bridal style and lays you down on the bed in the corner of his cell.
He orders some agents to get medical supplies, to patch her up and to his surprise they all believe it.
He has to fix it.

You feel a burning sensation on the places you remember getting hit. But it's not just from them being wounds, someone is touching them.
You open your eyes and see a blurry arm coming towards you, your first reflex is to grab it so that's what you do.
'Relax..I'm trying to clean you up...' his voice reaches your ears and you shoot up and scoot away from him.
You regret it immediately once you feel the pain in your now casted ankle. When did that happen?
'Y/n...' the look in his eyes changed, his whole demeanour changed. He seems warmer, kinder, generally concerned.
He wants to scoot over to you but you stop him by making yourself as small as possible, covering up your most weak spots.
'Don't...please don't touch me I'll do anything you want but please don't touch me...' your body starts to shake and tears stream down your face. Sobs leave your mouth, he has never seen you like this and it hurts. 'I can't take any more...'
'It's okay I...I'm not going to hurt you...I'm trying to fix you...I'm trying to clean your wounds...' he explains and you look at him.
'You sick fuck!, what kind of game are you playing?!' You yell out.
'I'm not playing...I'm not him anymore...I'm sorry...' he apologises and he has never done that. He never said sorry for whatever he had done to you in the past. 'I know you don't trust me right now but I swear to you...he went away...I promise...I'm just trying to reduce the pain...let me...please?'
Now he's begging?, what kind of game is he playing indeed?, because whatever his act is, his acting is on point.
'I was actually about done...there's just one more on your head, that's the last one...' he looks hopeful.
It's enough to let your guard down a little bit, but the moment he tries anything you'll be ready.
So you untangle yourself and he carefully makes his way over to you. He slowly raises the clean rag and softly presses it against the wound. You wince and he immediately retracts the rag.
You frown at him as he continuous to focus on cleaning the wound. You can't comprehend what's happening. The actual winter soldier, the one who's been abusing you for months, years. He's now cleaning your wounds looking like a lost puppy.
'What happened?, why made you stop?' You speak up as bravely as you can.
'You said my name, you're the only one here who knows my actual name...and when you said it...well it somehow made it past my programming...he went away and now I need to face the jordi he left behind...'
'So why are you helping me?, usually everyone just leaves me for dead...including you...' the harsh words make his chest ache, you say it with so much hatred it makes him feel even more guilty.
'I know, but I can't... maybe the winter soldier can but I can't...' he answers.
You bounce your leg impatiently, you don't know how to act because the man you've hated on since day one is now sitting there, all broken just like you are. They may not have messed with your head but you've had to endure just as much as he did. He didn't have a choice just like you, which makes you feel some empathy for him.
'I'm sorry...for making them do this to you...it's not fair...'
'Life rarely is... But for you...it's like the universe is against you or something..'
'Well I do make it easy on them... I stopped fighting you today...I was convinced I was going to die..' you quietly say.
It gets silent, dead silent, until you finally dare to ask the question that's been on your mind ever since you got captured.
'Did he really love me or was it an act?' You ask.
'No, he didn't...but to be honest, I do...I was watching from the sidelines, and part of my feelings are his, he didn't feel anything but I do...' he admits.
And again it gets silent between the two of you. You're just staring at each other for some unknown reason. You're probably figuring out if he's speaking the truth.
You don't know who put their lips on who put you're pretty sure he was the first to lean in and press his lips against yours.
Your hand goes up to his cheek as the other presses against his chest. He hurls an arm around you and pulls you on top of him, you straddle him.
'Wait..'
'What?' You ask out of breath. 'You wanna Stop?'
'No no...it's just your ankle is supposed to stay up because else it won't heal properly or something...'
'I don't know why it took me so long but I like this side of you...' you move your leg so it's laying right side up, the other still bend.
'I've got a better idea..' he swiftly lays you down and props himself up on his arms as he connects your lips again.
'We need to get out of here... you and I...'
'You and I...' he confirms.
