A key hung from your neck as you walked into the rather old house.
Your aunt loaned it to you after her death, since you were the only one she trusted with it.
Cobwebs littered the place, the floorboards groaned under your feet as you walked up the spiral staircase.
How old was this place? A few decades probably.
My, your aunt was rather fond of lavender wasn't she?
You found the master bedroom and tossed your suitcase on the bed. It was large, covered in violet silk bedsheets.
"I hope the moving guys get here soon, I want my laptop..." You frown and hop on the bed.
It was rather comfortable and it felt like you would sink into it if you laid there long enough. And it smelled of lavender and a hint of rose.. And it had a slight.. Metallic smell? Odd.
You were tired from the long drive, this place was in the middle of nowhere, deep in the forest.
Some how, even after all these years, the white roses stayed in full bloom. Who took care of them?
Your brother warned you not to stay in this house, since many believed it was haunted, do to lights coming on at night. But, you shrugged it off.
You yawn and roll yourself into a blanket burrito, you'll have to light a fire later. This place seemed to be much chiller at night.

Your nose scrunched up to a strong scent of metallic.. It made you want to gag. What the hell was it?
You sit up and lift the sheets, only for your eyes to widen in terror.
The mattress under you was drenched in old blood, it was dry, but the scent was strong. The blood seemed to drip down the side of the bed and onto the rug under your feet.
You screamed and hopped out of the bed, backing away from it.
Who.. Who died!?
It seemed you had just slept in a crime scene bed.
Suddenly the room turned freezing, violet fog filled the room, an intense scent of lavender burned in your nose.
"It isn't a pretty sight is it?" A voice echoed around you, their voice barely a whisper.
You yelped and fell on your rear as a figure appeared in front of you.
It was a skeleton monster, instead of legs, they had a ghostly tail. They were dressed in a tuxedo, a bow tie tied neatly around their neck, a top hat rested on their skull.
His left eye was a clock, in fact he had a pocket watch strapped to his tuxedo. And another one tucked into the rose on his hat.
One thing caught you off guard, it was the massive gash he had across his throat, and it still bled.
"W-who are you!?" You yelled backing into a corner to get away from him as soon as possible.
"I could ask you the same thing.. Why are you in my house?" He asks, floating in front of you, his arms tucked tightly to his chest.
"M-my aunt, she..." You couldn't even finish your sentence as he was suddenly in front of you, his hand under your chin.
"Funny... You look just like her..." He sadly smiled as his throat wound leaked down his collar bones.
"W-who?"
"Silence..." He sighs and wipes his tears away.
"I loved you so much my dear... Why did you leave me to die? You caused my heart to bleed.. And you still owe me a reason..." He pulls away from you and curls into a ball, crying into his see through hands.
Your heart ached.. Poor thing, even if you were scared of him, no one deserved this.
"W-what happened to you?" You were unsure how to comfort a ghost.. You couldnt really hug him and tell him everything was alright.
He shook violently and his blood began to puddle around him. "She.. She betrayed me.. Running off with.. Him... They left me for dead.."
His wife left him? For another man? Then they.. Killed him?
You crawled over to him and hugged the air, it may be silly, but you were out of ideas.
He seemed to stop shivering, he wrapped his arms around you and held you like you were going to disappear. "Why does everything I love... Betray me..?"
After a few minuets of silence and sobs, he pulled away from you and gently set you back down on the floor.
"I am sorry you had to see me like that.. You just, look so much like her... " He wiped his face with his sleeve, a phalange wipes up the blood from his wound and he just simply looks at it with a saddened gaze.
"I should be angry.. But, really, I'm just glad I got to see her one last time, despite what she's done to me.." He sadly smiles and looks up at you.
"Thank you mortal."
You stared into his violet eye that was filled with depression and betrayal.
He clenched his fist. "I would have crushed you, just for looking like her, but, that wouldn't solve anything. It would just spill innocent blood. I will not stoop to her level."
He put his hand under your chin and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead before disappearing into a gulf of smoke.
