Raynard opened the door completely, making me see a lot of expensive-looking paintings and some gold embroidered decorations inside. They're really well off.
Alright! Now just need to quickly get in and then get out.
[Please follow me, I shall escort you to the lord of this house. You can discuss your matters with him.] (Raynard)
I raised my hands, motioning him to stop.
[Woah! Hold On. I'm really just here for Lucy and Oswald. I don't have much time to spare either.] (Me)
Raynard stopped and turned back at me. He looked like he's contemplating something.

Raynard looked at me confusingly.

Raynard looked surprised for a moment before he gave off a small chuckle.

We walked inside, The house is not as big as my mansion but goddam does it look expensive. We were walking through a not-so-small hallway, and there were exotic-looking pictures hanged in the hallway along with some expensive-looking vases placed on top of small, pillar-looking, statues.

Raynard responded without looking back.
[You get cool things like these when you're a Nobel?] (Me)

So he keeps decoration to make the first impressions look better? good psychological maneuver, but.

We walked for a while, passed some rooms, the place was well kept and gave off a rich person's vibe.
Raynard finally stopped in front of an intimidating, dark-colored wooden door.

Raynard looked back towards me with a hint of surprise.

[I don't know if you're being sarcastic right now or genuinely surprised.] (Me)
[No, please forgive my tone. It's just that... Not many people are well versed in furniture materials. They all care about the looks and never the history, so you caught me by surprise.] (Raynard)
I raised an eyebrow at him.

Raynard seemed taken back from what I just said.

I said as I pointed towards the door.
Raynard nodded and hurried towards the door.
... But, history huh? Boreal wood is the one you get from trees in the snow biome so it should be expensive here. Since getting to the snow biome from here is a real chore.
That reminds me, I wonder how those Snow trolls are doing.

Raynard knocked on the door firmly, twice.

A carefree yet arrogant voice came from the other side.

Raynard's voice was actually a bit cold. Might just be me tho.
And by the way what was Lucy's father's name? Mackeral or something I don't know I'll just call him lord as well until he tells me his name.

Dam, he's a physical representation of what I actually want to do with things.

I placed my hand on Raynard's shoulder to stop him. He was pretty much screaming at this point and the other guy doesn't seem like he wants to listen.
[Allow me.] (Me)
I gave him a thumbs up and pulled him away from the door.

Before Raynard could say anything, I kicked the door down with as much force I could muster.
And, I might have placed a bit too much force since the door just shot forward.

[AAHHHHHH] (Mackeral)
Looks like the door was heading straight towards "The Lord" while he was being Pus*y and screaming like a little girl.
Unfortunately, something or rather someone stopped the door from caving in the lord's face.
The Door was thrown back at me and everything slowed down.
I grabbed the door, turned it upright, then I turned around and placed it back on its hinges.
miraculously, or should I say through my system. The door was good as new and back on its original place.
[Well that's that.] (Me)
I gave myself a pat on the back and turned around only to be greeted by a blade charging towards my face.
I raised my left hand where my shield was equipped and proceeded to back-hand B*tch slap the blade outta here.
Not only was the holder of that blade staggered, but the blade also flew away from his hand and stabbed itself on the wall.
The dude that tried to attack me seemed stupefied. He looks like Mackeral's personal guard. human, Fitted with silver armor, like me. A built body, tanned skin, my height, black short hair, stern face with a subtle beard.
[What the Hell!?] (Dude that attacked me)
He seems like a hired bodyguard to me.
[So is this the gift I was supposed to receive as I was guided away? You know, you're not that good of a host mackerel.] (Me)
Please let his name be Mackeral. Oh, It would be So Awesome If it Is!

Yea, why would his name be Mackeral. Now that I think about it, Mackeral's a fish, isn't it?
The Bodyguard raised his fist and braced himself. Well, running towards his blade would be a dumb move right now so I do give him some credibility.
I inspected the room and there were some more paintings on the wall. There were 2 small windows on my left and right. Merkel was sitting on a chair and there was a desk in front of him There was two empty chair's opposite to Merkel as well, I'm guessing that's for meeting clients. There were a lot of papers on the desk so I'm guessing he was just working.
Aside from that, there were a few more desk and empty chairs on my right and left. I guess that's in case he needs help.
Alright, enough scanning the surroundings let's get on with business.
I placed my left hand on my hips like a sassy guy and sighed.
[Listen up Mackeral-] (Me)
Merkel immediately interjected.
[It's Merkel! The Legendary Merkel! Do You Have Any Idea How Powerful I Am!?] (Merkal)
Honestly, I wanted to shoot right beside him to threaten him or use Intimidation and make him pee his pants. But, he's my student's father. If I want to beat him then I'll have to beat him at his own game of douchebaggery.

I cleared my throat
The Bodyguard in front of me remained passive but on guard. watching in case I make any sudden move.
[Then Let me ask you something Merkal.] (Me)

Merkel was sweating a bit. I'm guessing he realized someone like me is not a powerless person.

My lips grinned up as I stared right into his eyes.
