Chapter 109: Outmatched

Ayanokouji POV

It was now morning, and it is the day of the Culture festival 

I headed into the lobby as I noticed Horikita wearing a frustrated look on her face. 

I decided to just talk to her to see what's going on 

"What's going on?" I asked 

"I don't think it concerns you, but I suppose that one of our maids for our maid cafe isn't going to be here" she explains 

"I see" 

"Also, Hasebe-san wouldn't be able to attend as well" she said 

"Haruka?" 

"She's not sick but for some reason didn't doesn't bother showing up even yesterday, she wasn't around" Horikita said 

"I guess I could talk to her, where is she?" I asked 

"No idea, hey aren't you supposed to be worried about your activities?" she asked 

"It's no big deal, I'm needed later anyway. Kaguya is in charge of the place, so she doesn't mind me not working this early" I replied 

"Your class is a bit too generous towards you Ayanokouji-kun." she said 

"I guess I'll take that as a compliment" I said before leaving

The festival will start around 9 AM but we all agreed to get things ready around 7 AM since the rest needed to cook and prepare the rest of the activities early. 

I decided to look for Haruka before the event begins. 

I'm sure she still hasn't recovered from Airi's expulsion, but despite Class B slowly progressing. If they have nonfunctioning gears in their machine. The machine won't run smoothly, this class will break slowly if they don't solve their problem 

I managed to find Haruka who was just sitting on the bench. 

As I approached her, I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Keisei followed by Akito as well. 

"I know you're not the type to help people cheer up but, I think you should be the one to talk to her" Akito said 

"I do feel bad for her, this class hasn't been the same when Daigo started forcing the class to expel Airi instead of Kushida" Keisei said 

"Don't worry about it, I guess I have no choice" I said as I walked towards Haruka 

As stood in front of her, she noticed me as she looked up at me. 

"Kiyopon?" she spoke 

I casually sat next to her as we just simply talked 

"I'm telling you right now, there's nothing we can do now. She is gone from this school" I said 

"I know but Airi would've been happy to help, if she was still around" she said 

"I know that I'm not inclined to deal with the issues of the other classes sometimes but, you are one of the few people that I consider a friend outside of Class S, even if I don't want to admit that" I said 

"Kiyopon, you think I could even continue being here?" Haruka asked 

"Airi is probably crying at home right now. I'd rather just dropout than to deal with this any further" she added 

I know Haruka well enough at this point. She is a loner almost like me, but I guess my circumstances is different given the class I'm in, but she is a loner.
