Chapter 99: All according to plan

3rd person POV

Tsukishiro: Kaito-san, it's been a while since we had our 1-on-1 conversations

Shigeru: Tokinari-san 

Tsukishiro: How's this school treating you? 

Shigeru: The pay here is good and from what the suspended chairman said about this school. It is quite interesting to say the least. 

Tsukishiro: I'm glad to hear that.

Shigeru: Are you not planning on bringing me back too? 

Tsukishiro: There wouldn't be any point besides Ayanokouji-sensei understands your reason to leave despite his consideration on keeping your job in the White Room as it's instructor

Shigeru: I see, despite me helping the Masterpiece escape, he still thinks of me as a friend? 

Tsukishiro: He still does see value in you and luckily you made the right decision in not getting in our way 

Shigeru: That kid is dangerous Tokinari-san. Along with that other monster you sent 

Tsukishiro: Daigo-kun? he failed his mission so he's also now our enemy 

Shigeru: You do realize that he was considered the 2nd strongest in the White Room's 4th generation, right? He's almost like Ayanokouji except he has more bloodlust compared to him. 

Tsukishiro: And yet he still lost to the Masterpiece in spite of all this. 

Shigeru: He is the Masterpiece after all. That island exam is an example on why you shouldn't underestimate him. 

Tsukishiro: That's alright, after seeing what he's truly capable of in an outside world environment. He truly is a demon. One that is out to destroy anyone who gets in his way. 

Shigeru: That's why I avoid dealing with him, I don't see him as a friend or anything. I did what he wants, and I gave it to him.  

Tsukishiro: Are you sure that's just the case? You did open up to me years ago that you hated Atsoumi, did you not? 

Shigeru: I hate the guy for what he did to his own son, but I choose not to say anything because he is an old colleague of mine along with the chairman 

Tsukishiro: Ohhh you were friends with the chairman before? 

Shigeru: Yes, Sakayanagi was my best friend after all, and it so happens that he works in the same school that Ayanokouji ended up in. Of course, which is this one 

Tsukishiro: Well, I'll see you some other time old friend. It's nice talking to you again 

Shigeru: same here

Ayanokouji POV 

It was now the day where I have to confront Ichinose.  

I told her that I ended up waking up late after last night's event which I didn't need to tell her about, so we pretty much had our meeting scheduled around the afternoon. 

It was around 10 AM right now so I have a bit of time. 

As I was walking around, I suddenly encountered a certain kouhai 

"Senpai!!" 

"Amasawa?" 

"Hehe, nice meeting you again Ayanokouji-senpai" she said 

"What is it that you want?" I asked 

"I just want to say hello to my favorite senpai. So, are you alone right now?"
