"Yeah, well, passing over Fred's left buttock-."

Chae's eyebrows furrowed as she walked into the kitchen at the burrow, following after the twins to see Ron and Harry peeling sprouts the two of them looking very miserable.

"I beg your pardon?" said Fred. "Aaah, George, look at this. They're using knives and everything. Bless them."

"I'll be seventeen in two and a bit months' time," said Ron grumpily, "and then I'll be able to do it by magic!"

"But meanwhile," said George, sitting down at the kitchen table and kicking his feet up "we can enjoy watching you demonstrate the correct use of a -- whoops-a-daisy!"

"You made me do that!" said Ron angrily, sucking his cut thumb. "You wait, when I'm seventeen--"

"I'm sure you'll dazzle us all with hitherto unsuspected magical skills," yawned Fred.

Chae couldn't help but let a small giggle escape from her soft lips earning a dirty look from Ron, Fred reached his arm out towards the girl pulling her down to sit on his lap whilst the twins began to talk with Ron about his new girlfriend which resulted in Ron throwing a sprout knife at Fred causing Chae to duck quickly and Fred lazily turned the knife into a paper airplane.

"Ron!" Molly said furiously, walking into the kitchen. "Don't you ever let me see you throwing knives again!"

"I won't," said Ron, mumbling something under his breath that Chae didn't catch.

"Fred, George, I'm sorry dears, but Remus is arriving tonight so Bill will have to squeeze in with you two," Molly explained.

"No problem," said George.

"Wouldn't it be easier if you let me share with Chae?" Fred suggested, Chae rolling her eyes considering this was the umpteenth time he had his mother this question.

"Nice try, but it's not happening," Molly replied giving Fred a stern look. "Chae dear, could you help me with the washing please?"

Chae nodded her head, excusing herself from the boys, and followed Molly upstairs after she had grabbed the washing basket. The two of them went from room to room, picking up everybody's dirty washing and making their way back downstairs into the kitchen to see that it was now empty and the sprouts had been peeled.

Chae sat at the table sorting through the whites of the washing and placing them in a pile whilst Molly dried the clean washing with her wand, the two of them were working in peaceful silence and it made Chae realise how much she truly did love spending Christmas at the Burrow. However, the question that left Molly's mouth made Chaerin turn so red that she may as well have been a tomato.

"Chae, have you and Fred done 'it' yet?" She asked quietly, Chae's brown eyes widening to the size of saucers.

"What do you mean?" Chae coughed.

"You know, the horizontal tango?" Molly explained, looking at Chae expectantly.

"Oh, um, well..." Chae stuttered, blushing madly.

"You can tell me, dear, I won't tell anyone I just want to make sure you're being safe, Arthur and I aren't expecting grandchildren any time soon," Molly said so casually as if she was asking Chae what she would like for dinner.

"I- um, yes, yes we have and I can assure you there will be no grandchildren for a very long time," Chae confirmed, overwhelmed once again by the topic of grandchildren when she was just eighteen.

"That's excellent, I'm glad we can have little talks like this, you know you really are another daughter to me Chae," Molly sighed contently, smiling warmly at the brunette who was chucking a white sock in the pile.

Molly's words resonated within the girl, lighting up a fire of love in her stomach that she didn't even know she was capable of feeling. The sentence made her burn so brightly with love that she was quite literally glowing. Chaerin Chang knew for sure that the burrow was home.

Later on in the evening, Chae found herself sat in Ginny's bedroom, the two of them sitting quietly together. Chae had her head buried in a book, finally glad that she was getting some peace and quiet before she had to go to bed. She was utterly exhausted and couldn't wait to crawl beneath the covers and drift off into a world full of dreams. Christmas eve was slowly coming to an end and Chae was excited for the morning to come.

Within the next ten minutes, Molly had announced that it was time for bed and Chae placed her book on the bedside table, standing up only to be tackled to the bed moments later by her redhead boyfriend.

"Ugh, get off me you big oaf!" Chae joked, slapping his back slightly.

"Alright, your highness," said Fred, sitting up and pulling Chae into his arms, kissing her lips gently.

"You shouldn't be in here, your mum will go mad... you know she asked me if we had done it earlier on?" Chae asked, Fred laughing loudly.

"What did you tell her love?"

"Well, I couldn't exactly lie to her!"

"Oh my gosh, you just had to go and make it awkward, didn't you? Now my mother knows what the two of us get up to how am I supposed to face her during dinner?" Fred asked, smiling.

"What do you mean? How are you supposed to face her? What about me!" Chae responded, the couple erupting into loud laughter.

"I think it's time you go to bed," said Chae, pushing Fred off the bed.

"I don't want to! I just don't see why mum won't let us share a bed, we literally live together!"

"Maybe I prefer sleeping without you, after all, you do snore extremely loudly sometimes I think I'm sleeping next to a horse!"

"Don't lie to yourself princess, you know you can't sleep without me," He teased, picking up the book that she had placed on the bedside table, she stood up ready to take the book off her boyfriend who only raised it above his head, teasing the young woman further. Chae crossed her arms, looking at the boy harshly.

"Fred Weasley! Put that down and go to bed!"

"But I haven't said goodnight to you yet!"

"Fine, just say goodnight n go!"
