"Baba!"

Upon entering the home, Krithika spotted Mukesh and rushed to hug him tightly. He reciprocated her gesture with open arms, greeting her warmly, "Ah, Beta!

Krithika exclaimed in disbelief, "Xavier didn't inform me that you would join us. He only mentioned Aai and Chitta." Her astonishment was evident as she struggled to comprehend Mukesh's unexpected appearance.

"Haha! I specifically instructed him not to tell you, my sweet doll," Mukesh chuckled heartily. "I wanted it to be a surprise."

She pouted and engaged in animated conversation with him, while he affectionately patted her head, conveying his fondness.

Saranya observed the caring connection unfolding between her daughter and Xavier's guardian. With a heavy heart, she noticed the pain etched in Ashok's eyes as he stared at their closeness, realizing he had become estranged from his daughter. Saranya's heart throbbed with pain as she acknowledged the fractured trust between Ashok and their daughter.

Even if she forgave him, the love between their baby and him had faded. It was Ashok who had brought this upon himself. He should have been the pillar of support and comfort for their daughter, a confidant in whom she could find solace.

Yet, as Saranya lamented, she knew it was too late. Her Kannamma had endured her fair share of pain, enough to seek solace and affection elsewhere, leaving behind the longing for paternal love that would never be fulfilled.

She rejoiced in her daughter's happiness but her soul couldn't ignore the void reflecting in Ashok's expression. Walking closer to him, she rested her hand over his shoulder and he looked at her, his eyes burning with guilt and hurt.

"Ashok." She blinked her eyes rapidly, resisting to cry.

Perhaps if she had spoken up sooner the outcome might have been different. Maybe- as that foolish Nawab had suggested- Ashok had required a wake-up call long ago, contrary to her beliefs and trust in her husband. While it wasn't entirely her fault, she couldn't shake off the feeling of blame that weighed heavily on her conscience.

Men and their stupid egos. Women and their ridiculous trust in men. Humans and their silly love.

All, but in vain.

"Akka used to dance as well when she was my age, wait I'll show you something." Preethi pushed Satya and Xavier onto her bed to sit, opening her wardrobe she leaned almost inside it. Immediately, her fingers probed through a stack of papers and a few other things placed carefully in the wardrobe.

Dressed in a modest shirt and skirt, Preethi bore a striking resemblance to Krithika. The kid was comparatively fair-skinned and had tiny eyes, the only exception from her eldest cousin. Xavier observed that Preethi shared Krithika's chattiness to people whose company they enjoyed and very hardworking nature, noting a common trait among the children in this family who seemed to have a keen enthusiasm for learning.

"How old are you?" Satya questioned.

Back to them and head deep inside million dresses, she garbled, "Eleven."

Xavier chuckled.

Satya scanned the room. The walls were decorated with exquisite watercolor paintings and the corners were housed by tiny indoor plants, "Do you paint?"

"Yes, but half of those on the walls are by Akka. We both share this room."

"Hmm... My executive seems quite a talent," she winked at Xavier, "Congratulations, your children will inherit superior genes."

Frowning, he whispered, "They are going to have a supergenius dad, isn't it obvious that they will be exceptional."

"Arrogance caused the Titanic to sink."

"Unyielding confidence is the cornerstone of civilization's aspirations."

Satya scoffed, "Oh, so you think humanity depends on your dick," she rolled her eyes as she murmured, "Adam, you are too old to 'multiply and replenish the earth' with your cute Eve."

"Well, don't you think with AI being the future of mankind, I just need one or perhaps two kids to subdue the world?"

Preethi chose the exact moment to exclaim, "Here!" She gasped for air as she waved a few photographs to them. She sat between them and pointed her tiny finger over the first photo, "Can you guess who's Krithika Akka in this pic?"

In a nanosecond, Xavier spotted his darling. Adorned in exquisite red ethnic attire, she exuded grace like an Apsara in a Bharatnatyam stance. Her long hair was neatly braided, framing her slender figure. However, what truly stood out were her mesmerizing large black eyes, rimmed with thick kohl, resembling sparkling midnight. They were so unbelievably dark that he forgot to respire normally.

Oh god, she is so beautiful! I'll have to fucking arrange for bodyguards to protect our daughter from the moment she's born.

Krithika is too young to be a mother and you aren't married to her yet.

Fuck off! I can and will dream of being a girl-father, I'll--

"Did you already start showing off your awards to them?", a melodious voice from behind stopped his train of thought. His head snapped in that direction.

Fucking hell, she wants to kill you with her beauty!

"Kanmani...", Xavier couldn't recognize his voice, it was too husky to be true.

Clad in a radiant orange saree, she oozed a mesmerizing allure that stirred his senses. Oh, she looked so fucking delicious that his fingers itched to peel that saree gradually off her body. Every fold and drape accentuated her curves, inviting his eyes to trace the silhouettes of her form.

Well, they did what her body demanded. His eyes embarked on a journey, lingering on each subtle curve—especially her full hips, upwards in a slow and deliberate movement. As he envisioned her heaving bosom, he felt a primal urge stir within him, his lips parting in anticipation. His eyes immediately shifted to her face where he found himself losing his control in her enchanting lips, so ready to be kissed with a pout.

Finally, his journey culminated as he stared into her eyes, completely drowning himself in their depths.

She's so fucking aroused.

"Preethi, can you get us a glass of cold water?" He heard Satya say and then there was some rustling noise, "Hey, wait, we'll need snacks as well."

His eyes were glued on Krithika, he couldn't look anywhere. Closing the door behind her, she moseyed up to him, her hips swaying seductively, her every step exuding a sultry appeal—too bloody inviting to ignore.

Propping herself onto his lap, her hands skimmed over his shirt, tracing the hard contours of his body. She made sure to pinch him here and there once in a while causing his body to jerk in tension.

Your Kanmani is such a tease.

He rested his hands on either side of her exposed waist, giving a gentle squeeze, eliciting a sharp intake of breath from her. She leaned closer and her warm palms reached his broad shoulders. Clawing her nails in his muscle, her tongue darted to lick her lower lip as she whispered, "My darling, Lucifer..."

That was the hottest provocation for him to break free and do whatever he had been dreaming of for one month. All inhibitions melted away and with a low groan deep inside his throat, he lunged forward. His left hand rocketed to the back of her head and pulled her close to kiss. When his lips met hers, he felt complete, his soul arrived at his home.

A/N

I remember watching a reel or shorts idk, of a bride's friends dancing to the "Sajna Hai Mujhe" remix version (exactly the one I have attached here) in her sangeet. I was like- "Waah, ye bhi sahi hai." XD

I love this song tbh, much nostalgia.
