Interesting Fact- The title of the chapter is derived from two words 'Wedding Bells' and 'Kalyana Vaibhogam' to symbolize the religious/cultural disparities between the protagonists and illustrate how their union blends these differences into a harmonious relationship.

"If you've already made up your mind to marry, could you enlighten us on why you're here?" Vinoth inquired Xavier.

Xavier turned his gaze towards Vinoth. During his previous visit, everyone there had maintained a conspicuous silence throughout his session with Krithka's father. Hence, it was a fresh surprise to see that other men in the family had a voice to talk with him other than the eldest Shanmugam, the assholic Ashok- who was simply shooting him with a sharp stare.

"We've come to seek your blessings.", Xavier said, shifting in his place, feeling uncomfortable with the constant glare of Ashok, "I love Krithika; I worship her and am willing to do anything for her. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been chosen by someone as wonderful as her.", he stared at Ashok, meeting eye to eye as he said, "She desired to see her parents pleased with her choice and I have made a promise to myself to fulfill every wish of my Kanmani."

"Where are your parents?", Sivan interjected, "These all look like your friends and siblings. Isn't there anyone older to talk on behalf of you? Who can converse with us as a trustworthy elder?"

Krishna let out a sigh. Just a few years ago, he had found himself in the same seat, Xavier facing the interrogation of his parents. Utilizing his influence, he had ensured that his sweet little sister wasn't marrying some random serial killer but a respectable man. He recognized that all the inquiries raised by Krithika's uncles stemmed from a genuine concern for Krithika, and he empathized with their intentions.

He replied, "Uncle, Xavier's parents have passed away.", pausing briefly to look at Krithika before adding, "And, he was my brother-in-law seven years ago until my sister chose to dissolve their marriage."

Xavier started, "My guardians would like to meet if you--"

"Why did your sister divorce him?" the first question from Ashok was out in the open, directed towards Krishna, "Why do you think I should be okay to marry off my daughter to a divorcee?"

Xavier's hand clenched into a tight fist, signaling his reluctance to delve into the intricacies of his first marriage. He was a divorcee, plain and simple. Why? That question didn't pique his interest, and he had no desire to explain an answer. He bloody hated to sit and justify himself as it wasn't something he was at fault. It was his past, Krithika was his present.

Krishna reassuringly smiled,  "I refrain from concerning myself in my sister's personal affairs. She's quite... selective about her life decisions. Raised as a little princess, she's a little adamant to budge for anything...", a deep sadness flashed on his face for a microsecond, he collected himself before continuing, "Please, don't get me wrong. You don't need to misunderstand my lack of involvement as apathy; it's just that she tends to keep her feelings to herself. I suppose the only person she's been closest to in her whole life is my elder brother... and after him, it's undoubtedly Xavier.", he stated, "And if there were anything amiss with Xavier's character, do you truly believe I'd be sitting here with him so composed, praising his virtues?"

Looking at Xavier, "You were saying something about your guardians, huh?", Sivan urged, "Where do they live?"

"They live in Maharashtra.", Krishna replied, "I can arrange for their visit here if you'd like to meet them."

"You?", Sivan frowned.

Xavier slightly nodded, "Krishna is the son-in-law of my guardians."

"Hmm...", Saranya scanned both of them, "So you both got married together at the same time?"

"No.", Farhan smirked, "Our SP Sahab stumbled in love with Xavier's friend- or you call her kind of Xavier's sister, when he saw her at his sister's wedding. Krish, am I recounting the details properly?"

Krishna grunted in annoyance, his neck tinting red.

"Aren't you too old for our daughter?", Vinoth shook his head in disapproval before directing his attention towards Krithika, "Really? You are okay with that?"

Aarti chimed in, "I don't believe we must poke that matter, particularly given that there's a couple within our family who share an eleven-year age gap.", she smiled, her eyes volleying between Vinoth and Vasanthi, "Hypocrisy is not the best approach here."

Vinoth choked in his spit and cleared his throat vehemently, causing Vasanthi to blush like a tomato. Their love story had been the talk of the town during their time, the so-called headstrong celibate Vinoth- second son of Shanmugam- falling head over heels for the young village beauty- Vasanthi, after laying his eyes on her at his younger brother- Sivan's wedding.

The couple had a colorful history of overcoming familial opposition due to their significant age difference before everyone had agreed to get them married. They understood the hardships of a love marriage better than anyone else in the family.

The corner of Krithika's lips twitched, "I am okay with that.", she added, "I love him, Chittappa."

"We would like to meet your guardians.", Sivan persisted, "You guys are mature and responsible, I understand, but we seek some form of reassurance that Krithika is entering into matrimony with a suitable partner. While I understand she left home to pursue her aspirations, and we lost touch with her due to various reasons... But marriage is a serious matter not to be taken lightly."

Xavier sighed.
