"Bloody hell, I am not answerable to anyone about my emotions.", she muttered to herself, striding towards Satya's cabin.

What does he think about me?

After the cold accusation from Rathna, she had left him to die alone- if that was a possibility- in the cafeteria. She was enraged to be assumed as a cunning gold digger. Yes, that's what he would have thought about her. Who would believe that she was dating Xavier sir for a chance at love? No-fucking-body.

'A simple babe from a small town ropes in a millionaire'- that would be the title of their love story- if they ever have one in the future. For laughing out loud, she had no bloody clue if they even loved each other and the only friend who knew about their relationship had started judging her to be an exploiting cheapskate whore.

She hadn't revealed the identity or any further details to Priya and Rashi about the mysterious man whom she was dating, but they were shocked to know that a rich guy had shown interest in her. Priya had said, "Rathna sir is out of the picture now as I know that he can't afford to buy these shits. But... Wow, Krithika, that's some...some luck."

Why was everyone being mean to her? Was it so hard for people to see her true intentions? Was it because she was nothing but an average-looking girl?

In that case, why did Xavier keep chanting that she was the most beautiful woman? It was clear that he wasn't interested to just simply fuck her and perhaps he had started to love her- that's what Rathna had concluded- out of all the women in the universe. Why would he even love her if her friends found her to be nothing but something equivalent to the crow-shit!? And wait, Xavier, himself hadn't confessed anything to her, why would anyone assume any fucking thing!

She wanted to scream.

With all those thoughts she walked straight into the thick glass door of Satya's cabin, her head hitting hard with a thud. Wincing at the pain it caused she muttered to herself.

Fuck you, Xavier!

She rubbed her forehead and looked inside the cabin. Satya was smiling wide at her. She probably was laughing at her who was making a fool out of herself. Embarrassed she knocked on the door, "Ma'am, you had mailed me to meet you."

Satya called her in, "Yes, what's your phone number?", she asked while unlocking her mobile.

With a puzzled expression, Krithika dared to question her, "Why?"

Satya's eyes snapped up to look at her. Krithika swallowed hard. No one in the office was allowed to share work details on their personal phone, so she was a bit surprised when Satya asked for her phone number. Also, she might get it easily from the HR department, why did she call her for that?

Even though her boss wasn't glaring at her audacity to throw a question back at her, she could feel Satya's change in mood.

"You do are a fiery little thing like Xav had mentioned.", Satya leaned back in her seat, crossing her legs over each other and staring at her face- almost drilling Krithika's soul with her vision.

Oh my gawd!

Heat flushed through Krithika's whole body. Xavier hadn't ever told her about sharing their- whatever- situation details with Satya.

They had argued when he had told her that Alisha knew about her. She had been annoyed at him and had tried to explain how much trouble it would cause her to be known as 'The employee who dates the boss.'- the subtle version of Boss's Bitch- and he had explained his part of the justification with, "Sweetheart, but Alisha is not even related to the Xhasis."

It had been their first fight and all she had wanted to do was to slap him and cry, rather she had fisted her hand and had stormed out of his magnificent penthouse. Later, he had called her and had promised that he would not share it with anyone in the office or any other friends of his.

Yes, fuck you a big time, Xavier!

"Now, will you heed my request or should I order as your boss?", Satya passed her phone to her.

She fiddled with her fingers and nodded, "Sorry ma'am.", punching her mobile number into the phone she cursed Xavier in her mind for breaking his promise to her.

"Here.", she handed the phone back to Satya.

"Good. Now what should I save your name as?", she questioned her, "Hmm... Should I simply write 'Krithika' or save it as Xavi--"

"Whatever you like, ma'am.", she rushed before Satya could finish her sentence. Her body felt like a ticking bomb of mortification, almost ready to blast, "Is that all?", she hissed clenching her teeth.

Satya smiled at her, "Oh, Xav and I are going to Italy in the coming month.", she continued completely ignoring Krithika's question, "We won't be around for a whole week so I thought to send our pictures to you so that you don't miss us.", her eyes held a knowing mischievous look in them.

I just want to die, now and here, Muruga please take me with you!

Krithika blinked her eyes, "Okay, ma'am.", she tried to give a decent reply amidst her splitting embarrassment.

As if it wasn't already enough of humiliation that Rathna had seen her like a horny teenager making out with the senior- in this case their boss, now Satya- her other boss knew about Xavier and her, and she was not leaving a stone unturned to tease her. Was there no end to this?

"Ma'am, shall I take my leave?"

"Oh, yes, you can go now.", Satya dismissed her.

Krithika nodded and all but ran out of the cabin. She took her phone out and messaged the man who was the reason for making her life a reality show of derision.

'I want to talk to you, pick me up on your way back home.'

Murder shouldn't have been illegal, at least for once.
