Sighing Krithika replied, "Okay. Okay. I just don't like to be kept in the dark, and this is something happening in a literal sense right now."

He grinned at her statement, "Are you always like this?"

"Like?"

"Nothing."

"Are you laughing at me? What the fuck, Xavier?", she angrily fumed.

He kissed her pouting lips, "Nothing."

"If you hadn't handcuffed me from behind I would have thrown this blindfold to see your stupid grin.", squirming in his hug she continued, "I can feel that, no, I know for a fact that you are grinning like a fo--"

She squealed when he carried her in his arms, "Fucking hell, don't do that ever again! Why my feet are floating in the air? You could have asked me to walk and direct me!", she continued shouting at him, "Muruga! Why do I trust you!?"

He walked silently across the corridor of his guest house, smiling as she hurled accusations at him that how bad of a request it had been to ask him to take her alone, of how he could be a millionaire who kills women for fun, of how she had been a fool to easily fall in his trap, of how she was so far away from her home and if she died or disappeared no one would ever know.

Normally, it would have been offending if a woman thought so low about him. But Krithika watched too many slasher movies to imagine every horrible thing possible under the sun and blabber to him.

Once when he had examined her tiny lean fingers, she had gently poked his palm, "Every object that is sharp could kill and that's why I keep my nails like this. Rawrr...", she had cutely roared while proudly flashing her long nails. Well, he had imagined the purpose to be very different and that was one of those nights when he had taken a cold shower.

It was unbelievable for him how she had varied tastes in movies from a sweet animation Coco to gory slasher Halloween. She watched almost everything.

Not just watch, but read different genres of books. After that, she also had time to listen to every Tamil song and remember the lyrics of almost all of them. What kind of power does her brain have? After being an epic art fanatic, she was equally hardworking when it came to her career.

How can one be everything?

Crossing the main gate he motioned his driver to open the door of the car and placed her inside.

"This feels like a car.", she announced making herself comfortable in her seat.

He sat next to her and buckled their seat belt, "It might be."

"Xav!"

Holding her shoulder in his left hand he admonished her, "You know in your heart that I am not going to hurt you, calm down, Krithika."

"Okay.", and then she pursed her lip.

"Good."

He asked the driver to start driving and took out his phone. There was a collection of her favourite songs on his Spotify that he had saved day by day for her, "Krithika, I am going to play songs. Okay?"

"Yeah. Please do the honour, I am already bored."

Her face was almost covered by the large blindfold and it was hard for him to understand anything without looking into her eyes.

Tapping the play button he noticed her lips slowly curling into a wide smile.

"Ah! S. P. B. is love.", she started singing and drowned in her world of melodies.

Sighing he looked at her face, "My darling, can you hear me."

She kept singing to the tunes of 'Yaaro'.

"I want to confess to you how much I love you.", he muttered, "Want to tell you that you are everything I ever wanted in my life."

The driver looked at him from the rearview mirror and Xavier narrowed his eyes at him. The poor chap got intimidated and blinked rapidly to stare back at the roads.

After a while, they reached their destination.

He unbuckled her seatbelt, "Xavier, are you talking to me?", she questioned, "Why did the car stop moving? Songs are still playing, I can't hear you."

Lifting her from the seat he carried her and asked the driver to leave them alone.

He started to walk straight, his eyes still trained on her face as she kept chatting to him.

"So, is this going to be a regular thing? You picking me up like I weigh nothing. I am having my thoughts on getting obese, just for safety concerns."

"What are you doing to me, Krithika?"

"Also, I can smell something familiar, something heavenly."

"And I see my heaven in you."

"You collected all my favourite songs, that's cute."

"Cute?", he chuckled.

"Did you say something, huh? Xav, I can't hear you, these earbuds are still blaring songs."

Slowly he pulled her closer and kissed her forehead.

"Hey, that's one of my favourite songs!", and she started to sing 'Kanmani Anbodu' loudly.

Yes, this is my love letter to you, my lovely Kanmani.

He adjusted her body to hold her feet in his palms and sat down. Placing her in his lap, he slowly put her feet down to let them touch the earth.

Recognition hit her skin as her toes wiggled and she inhaled sharply, "Oh!", she whispered.

He took off the cuffs, then the blindfolds from her eyes, and at last the earbuds. She blinked rapidly, "Xavier!", she whispered as her eyes took in all the beauty that he had wished for her.

It was the beach shore- farthest from the busy eyes of the world. She had once told him that she loved beaches, and for that one day- for her birthday, he had booked the full stretch of resorts, all of them for himself so that she could enjoy every bit of nature without any disturbance of any sort.

He had wanted her to experience it all together, at once- the visuals of a beautiful sunset, the sound of waves hitting the shore, the feel of the cold sand, and at last his hands hugging her.

The hues of the sky reflected off on her skin, her dark skin glowing brighter than gold. Her eyes were focused on the horizon as she looked at the sunset in awe.

And he took in all the beauty in front of him, all of her, and muttered, "Now I know why sunsets are beautiful."

They both were together, alone, under the sky as the waves kissed their feet.

"Happy Birthday, my Kanmani Krithika."

A/N

Please don't ask me why Xavier used those kinky things- the answer is already there, "He had wanted her to experience it all together, at once."

Hehehe...no smutty stuff.

Also, when Manoj Kumar plays the violin, you inadvertently fall in love.

"Kanmani Anbodu" will make you feel how love letters are a beautiful form of expression. Nothing can match a handwritten letter/poem.
