Xavier cleared his throat and gathered the full attention of Krithika.

"Last year, there was this angry young woman, one very tiny- almost minuscule- executive of my partner, the great Ms. Satya Devi. That little lady had screamed in my cabin, straight to my face claiming that I was the 'worst boss'... Can you imagine that?", Xavier made a funny-looking serious face.

He could see how hard her lovely fiancé was fighting to not smile, "She wasn't minuscule."

"Well, she did look like a tiny piece of a button to me, but her words had made me rethink my whole professional life. I mean, academically, I have never been anything but perfect, so it had been a very difficult opinion for me to believe in myself as something tagged as 'worst'.", he comically huffed, "Huh... I had brooded in silence for a few days but ultimately had faced defeat for not being able to detect my fault. So, later, I remember, that I had consulted with my best friend, the said Ms. Satya Devi."

"Oh!"

"You won't believe what I got to know about myself!", after dramatically exclaiming, he continued, "Satya had advised me to be more considerate and perhaps to be a bit cheerful. It seems I had been an assholic perfectionist who had been too cold and unnecessarily ruthless. Not exactly her words because, you see, she is considerate when she's trying to be nice to me."

She slightly smiled, "Did you tell ma'am about that incident?"

"I am no fool, Satya is too protective of her team.", his index finger tapped over the tip of her cute nose, giving her a boop, "She fought for that executive with the button's stupid father."

"You fought with him."

"Oh, is it?", he nodded, "Ah, yes, I remember now, I convinced him.", staring at her glittering eyes he continued, "So, the moral of the story is that there is never too late for anything, as the day I had started to be what I used to be, a joyful and a pleasant person, I had found my Kanmani."

Patting his face, she suggested to him, "You should write stories as a side gig, you'll earn a good sum."

"As the CEO of the Xhasis, I find moonlighting as an offense.", leaning in, he whispered to her, "I have already committed a crime by making out with the button executive, you want the board members to sue me?"

Circling her arms over his shoulder, she held the back of his head, "I heard that button executive is your fiancé, is that true?", and gradually started to kiss his jaw.

"For how long we are going to talk about you in this third-person narrative?", his voice turned husky.

"Weren't you the one who started it?", she murmured.

He pushed her over the sofa and hovered above her frame, his eyes holding her gaze, "It was to make you understand that you, my Kanmani, can never be anything but a pure soul. It was to put some sense in you.", he smiled as he noticed her lips were starting to pout seductively, "My stubborn Kanmani needs to be taught a few things, I need to teach her to see clearly."

"My thoughts are very impure and blurry right now, my love.", she slowly touched her lips, exactly the way he had asked her three days ago, "What lesson do you want to teach your Kanmani now?"

"Well, I can initiate with a chapter on how to untie your towel for me.", with that sentence as his introductory speech to his class, his lips met her inviting lips. Perhaps, the first point in his class was to teach her how to passionately kiss.
