Krithika's licked her lips, suddenly parched, "Xavier..."

"I am not trying to force you into this marriage nor being irresponsible, we will meet your parents as planned. The official process will take a month anyway.", Xavier hugged her, eyes still holding hers, "I have already asked Karthik. He has agreed to be a legal witness along with Satya, Priya, and Krishna.", desperation laced his voice, "I want you to be with me every night and morning, every fucking second I breathe. I can't take it anymore to be away from you."

"I can move in with you.", she replied, "If it's about..."

He shook his head, "I had given it a thought, but no. It's not about this, sex or just... Whatever you present generation term it as.", he smiled, "Call me old school, or even ancient, but I don't want you just to move in, I want you to be my wife. I want the whole world to call me Krithika's husband, I want everyone to know that I belong to you."

The burning sensation inside her eyes made her acutely aware that Xavier was making her emotional.

"I want to come home after a tiring day and prepare dinner for you as you gossip about your colleagues and make coffee for me. I want to hold your hand and walk with you on the beach shore without hiding our relationship from anyone. I want to take you to local markets and do all those mundane stuff that I desire to do, even with the shitty media plaguing our life. I want to care for you, pamper you and do petty fights like a normal couple. I need you to be mine and I to be yours, no ifs and buts."

"Xav..."

"I want us both to be a family."

For a second, Krithika felt to chuck her prohibition in the bin. She wanted to run to the nearest temple with him with a Thalli- the sacred thread- and ask him to tie those three damned knots around her neck and take her as his wife.

Because she wanted nothing but to be his wife.

But what about Amma?

Sinking from the illusion of her imaginary joy of their perfect marriage, she sighed, "We can start with the application procedure, I have no objection to that but..."

Xavier shifted above and leaned to kiss her, "Thank you."

"I haven't completed yet."

"I know but I want to thank you for everything."

She knew he meant every word that came out of his mouth and god, how could she resist this beautiful man, how the hell was she supposed to wait?

Her eyes stared at his face, "It's not about my entire family anymore. Seriously, I don't give a shit about them, they can go to hell for all I care as your love has overpowered everything." she paused, holding his chin she slowly added, "It's just about my mother now. I want my Amma to know that her daughter is happy. She should know that I am there for her even though she has shunned me out of her life."

"Kanmani, don't do this to yourself.", Xavier's voice took her breath away. Even after these many months, after all the love between them, it still made her lungs stop working.

Seeing his eyes soften with a different kind of love was such a beautiful vision, the golden dust in them swirled gradually. It was so darn precious to see him care about her.

Initially, she hadn't believed this man would care for her, then, she couldn't believe Xavier had cared about her from the day he laid his eyes on her- yes, he had confessed that to her- but oh lord, he did and it was breathtaking to be the center of his world.

"Your Amma loves you. She's just unable to fight the patriarchy in her household like you did.", he kissed her forehead, his face holding a smile, "She didn't have an Amma who raised her to fight back. But she did that to you, she taught you to be so strong."

She smiled back.

Dimples deepened as his smile changed to a grin, "I should thank her, oh wait, I should thank both your parents- including your arrogant father- for giving birth to you. Maybe I should thank your whole clan who made it possible for your parents to marry and create such a beautiful soul. How else had I met my Kanmani, huh?"

"Four days.", she began, her calves shifting over his body and circling his waist. Her eyes twinkled as they saw dark brown flooding over his golden orbs. She moved her hips sensually, their naked body clashing on the spot where their greedy lust conquered their mad love for each other, "You have four days to prepare the best Thanksgiving speech for my Dravidian clan of nuclear bombs."

Without moving her, his hand reached out to the nightstand. Grabbing a fresh condom, his teeth ripped open the foil, "They can be praying to Oppenheimer, I'll surprise them as a follower of Edward Teller.", he gasped hovering above her as he rolled the latex over his erection.

"I thought you worshipped Karl Benz, huh?", she giggled and pulled him closer, "Come here."

Situating himself between her thighs, he guided himself to enter her. They both groaned as their eyes met, lust or love, at that moment it didn't matter to them.

Grunting in pleasure, he whispered, "I prefer secularism, Priye. It makes me much more accommodating to all the world views."

Giggles died into loud moans as he rocked her world, again. He surely knew the definition of 'accommodating enough'.
