"Krithika?", Rathna looked over the documents he was reading. He was surprised to see Krithika enter his cabin.

"Yeah, you wanted to talk about something?", she questioned, praying that it wasn't about dating. She, then, knew clearly that she wanted to date no one else other than Xavier.

Each moment spent with him was beautiful. The way he had smiled, the way he had adored her, the way he had cared, everything was real and she knew that there was no going back from this. She had spent the whole Sunday dreaming about him in different scenarios and none of them were about them being naked and tangled in each other's arms on a bed.

It was tangible, she could taste the sweetness of a new feeling. It was too early to feel so much and she had cried for not being able to control her heart.

"Oh, yes. I forgot about it.", he chuckled, "I had asked you to give me a call, Chakudi.", he pushed his seat back and stood straight. Opening a drawer of his desk he grabbed something and leaned forward. He placed a piece of paper on the desk and nodded his head, "Read it."

She took the handwritten note and read aloud, "I admire you, my dear Gem.", she couldn't stop herself from grinning at the fact that whoever had written the note had dared to spin a pun of his name, "Gem, uh huh?"

He shook his head, "We have cameras here, who could have been foolish enough to put this note on my desk with a rose.", he took the said rose from the same drawer and kept it on his desk, "This is a cringe-fest."

"You planning to get details on it?", Krithika folded the note and kept it back on his desk.

Is it Rashi?

"Yeah.", he sighed, "I wanted to contact the HR until this morning...", he pulled another note from his pant pocket and waved at her.

Hope it's not Rashi.

She took it and it read, 'Gem, sorry for creeping you out. I understand that it's wrong, forgive me for being a nuisance.', she arched a brow, "This sounds like a plea."

"I had shown the first note to my friends and they concluded it was a prank.", he added, "But the second note... It makes it real. And it's handwritten."

"What do you think I can do?"

"Nothing, I just...", he sighed loudly, his hand raking through his hair, "I don't know if it's a prank or a genuine remark. If it's true then I just feel bad that someone is not able to be open about their feelings for me.", he tapped his fingers over the desk, it showed that he was anxious.

Really! You are worried about some stranger? What are you made of?

"It's probably not about you being unapproachable. You are being hard on yourself for no reason.", she replied, "The person who wrote could be shy."

He nodded.

"You are overthinking.", she pacified him, "If you get it again, it's wise to take it to the HR."

Please, it shouldn't be Rashi.

"Yeah. I just don't want any secret fan girl of mine watching my every move. That's creepy as hell."

She giggled, "Yeah.", she patted his back, "That's all?"

"Yes. Also, I know that you made it clear that dating you is not an option...", he teasingly smiled, "...try to set me up with one of your friends, I am anyway ready to mingle.", giving a wink he laughed at her when she swatted his arm.

"You are such a flirt, I don't think there's any lack in your lovey-dovey department.", she shrugged.

She started walking out of his cabin but stopped when she heard him chuckle, "Chakudi, well, what's her name...Yeah, Ms. Rashi...I have seen her blushing every time I cross her. Does she like me?"

Find it yourself, I have a promise to keep.

"A lot of women blush to your flirtatiousness, Mr. Ratna Raj."

"Not you."

"Not me."

A/N

Just the start of another story, I don't know when I'll write but thought to put a hint out here.

"Veesum Kaatrukku" is a beautiful soft melody, fitting Rathna's mood in this chapter.
