"Xav, it seems you are relishing quite an active sex life.", Alisha muttered, "You have a heavy supply of condoms stacked in that little drawer...", she drawled, a light giggle escaping her mouth as her hand pointed towards the sleek mahogany night-stand next to Xavier's bed, "Making up for your lost time?"

Scoffing, Xavier rolled his eyes, "Nothing would top the kinky fetishes that you and your husband harbor for an active sex life." he smirked, watching Alisha tightly shut her mouth and grind her teeth. He leaned in, dragging the door of his bedroom to close it as he thrust her outside, slowly murmuring in her ear, "I follow Nawab's gossip columns, didn't Farhan fuck you on top of his BMW's hood and then--"

"Hey, you guys are here!", Samiksha called both of them from a distance, cutting short Xavier's detailed read on Nawab's way of entertaining his girlfriend- now, Begum. Alisha was desperately heaving for air and rapidly blinked her eyes to compose from her flushed form.

Samiksha scurried towards them, carrying her wailing daughter on her hip, "Deva! Dhriti is making my life tough and you both are such a useless pair of godparents.", she peeped inside his bedroom, scanning through the empty place, "Did you see Krishna? I need to hand his daughter to him, only that man can calm her."

Xavier pulled Dhriti out of Samiksha's hold and crooned, "Why is my angel crying?", he hugged her and she instantly went placid, burying her face under his chin, "Oh, Dhriti wanted to be with Xavi, huh?"

Samiksha glared, watching her daughter- who, a few minutes ago, had caused her a mini panic attack- getting cozy with Xavier, "Womb is such a wasteful bag in the name of organ, testosterone with bulky muscles is all it requires to be a girl parent."

"Don't be silly, my love.", Krishna butted in, coming out of nowhere and lightly holding his wife's shoulder, "I had trained my girl for today's meeting so that she can introduce the concept of paternal responsibilities in Xavier."

Alisha made a face of disgust, "I want to sign out of this stupid prenatal class, I was misled into believing that this is just an engagement party of my best friend."

"Fuck off.", Krishna mouthed while covering the ears of Samiksha.

Xavier shook his head, "There's a long time for whatever you guys are dreaming about, Krithika is too young to be a mother."

"Some women don't want kids at all, young or not.", Alisha mumbled to herself, but Samiksha's sharp ears heard her sentence and she frowned while Alisha added, "It's not always about motherhood."

Completely ignoring muttering noises from Alisha, Krishna pondered, "Nishita was twenty-five when she had Ansh, I don't think that's too young.", he chuckled, "Though she had slapped Bhaiyya pretty hard once when he had bought a different flavor of ice cream for her during her second trimester, the poor guy was too traumatized to talk to anyone for a week.", he dryly added, "Well, Nishita is always a bit moody like that, I don't think it was related to pregnancy."

"Bhabhi... She's your Bhabhi, Krishna.", Samiksha chided her husband, "Perhaps, she will slap you one day for being too insolent."

"She's younger than me!"

"By three days, and by relation she's elder to you.", Samiksha angrily huffed, "What are you going to teach our daughter, if you are being pretentious like this?"

Alisha beamed like it was the best day of her life, watching her enemy being roasted by her tiny doll, "He has great lessons on hypocrisy, chauvinism, and... Yeah, very important topic dealing with narcissism.", she said in a sing-song voice while patting the head of Dhriti.

The little one started to babble and pull Xavier's curls, "Xavi, I want KitKat.", demanding her favorite chocolate to eat from Xavier.

"I am none of that.", Krishna gritted his teeth, replying to Alisha.

"I am none of that.", Farhan mimicked Krishna's annoyed tone as he pulled Alisha, hugging her from behind. He gave her a few open kisses on her neck and she gasped, trying to push his head away. Chuckling, he finally added, "Agreed Krish, you are nothing but a fucking asshole.", he pointed with his right hand that held a fancy glass filled with some amber liquid.

"What kind of language is that!?", Samiksha snapped, "Don't you guys dare to speak in that manner in front of my child."

The child in question exactly picked up the wrong word as she chirped, "Fuckin asholl!"

Looking at Dhriti, Xavier laughed aloud, "That's a mini Ali in the making.", and placed her on his side, adjusting her on his waist, "Sorry Iksha, Farhan has a motor mouth with no filter. It was my fault to invite him here with my thirty-two-year-old doll and her two-year-old baby in attendance."

"Ouch! Straight to heart, Xav.", Farhan chortled, "Do you know how cruelly people were punished for maligning any Nawab's reputation? It was considered as treason in some parts of India."

"Keep spewing your nonsense, I know none of that is true.", Xavier challenged, "I might be an engineer, but I was equally good in history as well. Oh, wait, I was the best student every year with the highest score in every fudging subject.", he whispered last three words, attempting to move Dhriti away from him.

Farhan mocked him by making a face that indicated a fake shock and mouthed, "Chutiya."

Krishna interrupted their banter, "May I know why we are standing near Xav's bedroom and discussing about the Mughal Empire?"

Alisha cleared her throat, "Nothing important, I just happened to check Xav's bedroom.", she mischievously pouted, "I observed that he has integrated a few exciting things in his room."

Xavier inhaled sharply while his eyes shot fire at Alisha.

"Xav, te kuthe aahe... Where is it? I don't see anything different.", Samiksha pointed out, "It's the same wishy-washy like always."

"Doll, you ought to have a designer's eye for that, not a surgeon's.", Alisha quipped, her teeth biting her lower lip as her eyes twinkled with suppressed mirth.

Samiksha's face mirrored that of a kid who was solving a Rubik's cube for the first time, utterly puzzled, "Hehn?"

Xavier motioned for everyone to move, "Shall we?"

"Sure!", Krishna urgently agreed to him, fairly understanding what exactly had been incorporated in Xavier's bedroom, and heard Farhan murmuring to Alisha.

"Not as thrilling as our bed-chamber though, is it my darling tigress?"

A/N

Ah... yeah, there were too many characters. Six, including Dhriti. And, there will be more in the upcoming chapter.

I am living in the world of my stories and now, I know every one of them (every fucking plot point). Also, this set of chapters (Men in Love) could be considered as a crossover (or meet-up between friends) of almost all my past and future (planned) stories.

I hope (fingers crossed) I don't lose my motivation in between. You can check my profile to get an idea about what is my mega plan for the coming months (or maybe years).

This particular story- Not A Simple Engineer Boy! is the fourth book in the #Series 2: Destined to be. I know it doesn't make sense as this is the second book in writing, but after starting this book I kind of studied all my characters and felt that most of them are my favorites, and they fucking deserve a separate book for their epic love stories. Hehe.

#Series 1: Fine as Wine will be about the love story/ life of the parents of all these leads and will be mostly short reads. The number of books will change in that series depending on how much time I can give to throw some light on old-school romance. (or some may not be that old-school!)

Ah, the video attached of the song "Dil Chahta Hai" is regarded mostly as a travel song. Though, I consider it as a 'journey through the life' kind of song.
