"Kanmani, are you alright?"

Xavier's voice was so light to her ears as if she was dreaming about him. Her eyes fluttered open in panic. It was dark, the lights were turned off and her hands weren't tied above her head. She blinked her eyes, adjusting to fading light, "What time is it?", she breathed, her voice sounding alien to her ears. She shifted in bed and realized he was cuddling her under the comforter.

"Perhaps early morning."

"What!? Did I pass out?", she was horrified.

"Yes."

"Fuck...", her eyes started to burn, "I didn't... know..."

"It's alright. I, kind of, expected it... Your body is way more sensitive.", Xavier chuckled, "I got scared to see you motionless. My bad, I should have been careful..."

"I...", she swallowed, her throat strained to voice out her words, "What about you?"

He pulled her closer and kissed her, "No worries, my darling, it's fine."

"I am so sorry, Xav!", she cried, the guilt of not letting him have any pleasure hurt her. She hugged him tightly, "My brain gets hyper-excited when you so much as flick your finger over my lips. Fuck it, you didn't finish because...", she buried her face in his chest.

"Love, you don't need to be sorry for insignificant things.", he cooed and pulled her face near his, "It's not mandatory to have sex the way we plan, it's better to leave it to the flow.", wiping her tears he continued, "And who said I wasn't satisfied, I am getting hard by just thinking about that euphoric ear-splitting scream of yours from the last night.", he let out a small laugh, vibrations from his chest causing her body to shake, "Later, security had called me to check if everything was fine. I had cursed him to shut the fuck up and stop eavesdropping."

"Muruga!", her face burned from embarrassment, "Whenever I arrive here, I talk to that Anna about his day. This is going to be so fucking awkward."

"Everyone is your friend, huh?"

"Not all... He had asked me to guide his daughter for her career and stuff like that, she's meritorious."

He snickered, "He has a daughter? Wait, he's that old?"

"Yes, she's studying business management."

"Oh, I see... Then you would have immediately started chanting about the great Satya Devi?"

"Of course, who else is as awesome as ma'am to chant about?"

"Good, very good.", he sighed and pulled her closer, "Satya is great, no doubt on that part."

Smiling at his petty jealousy, she hugged him, her head close to his heart.

They were silent, only the sound of their calm breathing filled the room. It wasn't the first time she had stayed overnight in his home, but this time she felt different. It felt like home- their home, and she closed her eyes feeling overwhelmed.

"Xavier..."

"Yep."

"I love you."

He pushed her to lay flat on her back and peppered her face with butterfly kisses as his lips skimmed over, "I love you more.", he whispered.

And she giggled, her throat still paining from strenuous use of the vocal cords. She knew that Xavier was expressing the truth- that it was a fact of her life.

A/N

A short chapter but an important A/N that is kind of long so yeah...

I am not very good when it comes to writing sex scenes (I end up writing poems, if you have read so far you might know that), so it was a bit gutsy of me to try and attempt writing these three chapters (I might write a few more in the future, though not very sure). However, these were necessary to show the dynamics in the relationship between Xavier and Krithika (I believe sex is an important part of any romantic relationship, oh wait, I had seen a documentary about that on YouTube!) as they both experience love differently.

For Krithika- Xavier is her first love, her first for every experience she has ever heard of/read from romantic movies or books. So, for her, sex is something more than just lust, it is what bonds her to him intimately as she could visualize Xavier's soul desiring and admiring her.

But for Xavier- Krithika is his peace, which makes him crave her like anything as his life has been chaotic throughout. She brings that infinite stability- the calmness that soothes his every pain. Yes, he loves her (obviously) but that's not the extreme emotion for his commitment to Krithika. It is the essence of being grateful to spend a peaceful life with her, that she chose him to be with him... that is the reason which binds him to her (Love is not always enough of a reason for everyone to be with someone for a lifetime). So, for him, sex is not a big deal for his pleasures. It's more about satisfying Krithika and being pleased by that.

Yep, that's how I had envisioned this whole story, about Xavier's need for peace vs Krithika's search for love and how they complement each other. Even in most of the chapters, you can dissect their emotions regarding their attraction to each other.

Enough of my Ted Talk, hehe XD

"Hale Dil" was a 'loop it 20 times' song during my transition from school to college days. A beautiful song with even more beautiful lyrics, especially- "Tere Sang Jo Pal Bitata, Waqt Se Main Wo Maang Laata, Yaad Karke Muskuraata..."

Translation: "Every second that I would spend with you, I will snatch it from the time and will smile reliving those moments."
