Krithika stacked the paperwork that she had been working on since morning. It was tiring and she needed a break, the excuse of a coffee break with Akash and Rashi wasn't enough.

'Kites look beautiful when they are flying high, I am trying to fly one but my sister is cutting me off'

Rathna's message made her smile.

'Your sister is better than you.'

She typed and sent it.

'Or maybe I don't like to see her sobbing baby face.'

Shaking her head she replied, 'We don't know.'

She placed her phone over the stack of files and stepped out of her office cabin. Her back ached like shit; she did tire herself that day. She started strolling towards Sathya's cabin.

Her phone pinged again.

'I know what I know and want.'

Pursing her lips she shut her phone off and carried on with her work.

As she moved closer, she noticed Satya's cabin looking dark from inside, all the lights were turned off. Her boss probably left earlier than expected, she probably was not there.

A hint of headache crept in, pounding her head with annoyance. Satya had asked her to prepare for the coming weeks' plan but now she wasn't available to discuss it. Why did she do that?

Ugh!

She thought to drop it on the desk.

Whenever she arrives, she can take a look at it.

Deciding on that thought she went inside and placed all the files neatly above Satya's desk.

"Still walking inside empty cabins and faking pranks?"

She jumped at the sound, squealing in horror. It was dark and she didn't see anyone in the cabin, especially Xavier who could have been easily visible with his stature.

"I...I..", she stuttered, trying to breathe normally, "Satya ma'am had--"

Lights turned on, breaking her speech she closed her eyes at the sudden brightness. She blinked rapidly, pupils adjusting to the light. And then her eyes met his eyes, golden pools of earth and dirt.

She had never met anyone with such a unique pair of eyes, Indians weren't usually blessed with anything other than black or brown. Yet the specimen in front of her contradicted every stereotype.

"She already left."

The rich baritone of his voice brought her to reality. She stopped staring at his eyes and her head bowed, "It's okay, sir.", her voice was nothing but a low murmur, bordering on being breathless. She wanted to hit herself for being affected by just looking at his eyes. Clearing her throat she continued, "She can look at it later.", she withdrew, her feet slightly shaking.

"I am not going to hit you or something.", he snarled, "Why the fuck are you shrinking away like a wrecked ship."

She flinched as he abruptly stood.

"Look at me."

And she did as he ordered.

He was leaning against the desk, his weight heavily relying on the right arm which was placed firmly on the desk. He looked nothing like the businessman-slash-pioneer- Mr. Xavier L. Joseph. Disheveled locks of his curly hair hung around his forehead and his lips were deliciously pink.

Her vision shifted down and she immediately regretted it. His shirt's few buttons had come off, showing his flat chest and a few hard pecks of his abdomen. Those strong arms were of the usual sight, the sleeves rolled over and with a fancy wristwatch gracing his left arm.

The Xavier in front of her looked so messy and so equally fucking hot. Heat rushed to her core just by looking at the reality of her wet dreams. Desire knotted hard when his tongue ran over his lower lip and she realized that she could've come just by watching him lick his lips.

That fucking tongue.

Shuddering, her lips parted, trying to fill up the oxygen which she had denied to her body.

He had a glass in his left hand, probably he was having some liquor. Her face turned to the desk and she noticed there was one more glass over there, probably Satya was with him when they had started whatever they had started.

"Sweetheart, look at me."

This time she hesitated; she knew how her body betrayed every time she saw him. And the knowledge of how desirable he looked then and there didn't help her.

Fighting against her arousal, "I don't need to.", she made a coherent reply and praised herself for control and persistence.

"You did check me out before you dropped your head again.", he snorted with a low chuckle, "I might be having whiskey but I am not drunk enough."

Offended, she snapped at him with a fierce gaze, "What do you think of yourself? Just because you are my boss, I won't allow you to treat me like shit. I am not a fucking slave.", her hands fisted the end of her kurti, trying not to scream.

How come every time he could throw her to the edge of her emotions so easily? She was writhing with lust and anger, both, and it was all possible within a few minutes of being with him.

"You don't even know how I want to treat you, sweetheart", his eyes had darkened, a darker shade of brown and gold. He looked nothing human, cocking his head he scanned her. She almost died when his eyes ravaged her inch by inch.

Downing the remainder of his drink while holding her gaze he slowly smiled. Sinister- was the word.

"What do you mean!?", she was breathing heavily, her breasts straining against her tight bra. Fortunately, her loose clothing hid all of her embarrassment.

He strode across, reaching close to her in just four long steps as she tried to retreat, her hands clamped together in front. She tilted her head up to look at him and saw desire churning hard in his eyes.

"Don't look at me like that, if you don't mean it.", he drawled, the glass in his hand lightly grazing her jaw. His eyes narrowed at her lips, "You are pouting, sweetheart."

Kiss him. Just fucking do it!

And she settled in an agreement with her subconscious, again.

A/N

Sorry, but I was laughing like mad after editing this chapter.

While searching song for this particular chapter, it suddenly struck my mind that wait- this is the "Ayyo Pathikichu" moment, but in the background, I was listening to "Tujhme Rab Dikhta Hai"

How my brain works from Tujhme Rab Dikhta hai to Ayyo Pathikichu is mind-blowing to me XD

Idk, how many of you'll get the joke, but yeah wanted to share it!

Btw, wonderful cover by these peeps, I mean this sounds almost as good as the original.
