Trigger Warning, could be a bit graphical.

"Satya, what the hell!", he screamed.

He had thought that Satya was trying to move on. After her outburst, she hadn't shown any sign of grief or depression. But he was wrong, so fucking wrong.

Selvi had called him, informing him that Satya had been drinking alcohol for the whole day. The very next second he had shifted gears of his car and reached her home. The vision he saw in front hit a sharp pain inside him.

Satya Devi, the prim and proper queen, was sprawled on the marble floor of her living area lounge, her saree covered in her vomit. Her face was smudged with stains of lipstick and runny mascara. There were shards of glasses lying around, a few pieces finding their way to her arms, piercing and bleeding the blood out of her.

He rushed to her and barked at all the servants who were looking at him, "What are you waiting for, call the doctor!"

Selvi cried, "I have already called, Anna."

"How long?", he kneeled down and gently slapped her cheeks.

"She fell unconscious just before you entered.", Selvi heavily sobbed, "Whenever we tried to stop her or went near her, she flung glasses and knives at us. She could have harmed herself and I had no other option than calling you."

He looked around the room, it was a complete mess. Anger was the prominent emotion in his mind.

Fucking hell.

Carrying her to her bathroom he barked, "Fetch her a dress.", he hissed as a piece of glass cut his arm, "She's drenching in all kinds of liquid. Did she smoke anything?"

"Yes.", Selvi confirmed and ran to collect her dress.

He kicked open the bathroom door and carefully placed her over a chair, "Satya, why are you doing this to yourself.", he muttered.

He tried to pluck out as many pieces of glass from her arms. He washed his hands and took a towel. Dipping it in water he wrung out and cleaned her face and arms.

"Anna...", Selvi croaked and he signaled her to come inside as he left them alone.

After Selvi had changed her dress, he carried her to bed.

The doctor had arrived by then, he checked her and turned to him, "We need to take her to the hospital, immediately... her pulse is... Perhaps, overdose..."

"What happened?", Krithika asked as she rushed to him.

He stood next to the ICU ward, his head hung low and feet impatiently tapping on the floor. His shirt had stains of blood.

Krithika noticed Alisha sitting in a corner as she gave her a curious glance.

"Satya attempted suicide.", he replied in a dead tone.

"What? Why? Does Dhanya know?"

"Have to keep the kid out of this.", he muttered, "She'll not be able to bear it."

A doctor came out of the ward and stood before him, Alisha rushed next to them, "Fortunately, her body tried to protect her, she had vomited most of the drugs and her tests showed nothing in the lethal range.", he handed Alisha a file, "We have treated her, soon she'll be perfectly fine."

"Thanks.", Xavier nodded, his head still hung low.

--

"She's conscious now.", Krithika gently tapped his arm, "Please don't be hard on her."

He gave her a slight nod, "Stay here."

She looked at his face, he hadn't spoken a single word to her except for a message in the morning stating that he needed her presence in the hospital. She had taken leave from the office and had rushed to be with him.

Xavier had denied everything, not a single drop of water entered his body. Alisha had tried to smack some sense into him and in return had received a deadly glare.

His face had been menacingly cold. She had never seen him like that. It scared her and she hadn't dared to talk about anything. She chose to not be a victim of his wrath.
