Chapter 102: Elevator mishap

Peter and his class were on a field trip through Stark Industries (how cliché) and were taking a tour of everything though he lives there with his father, aunts and uncles. Of course no one knew about his alter ego, but he never knew that today would be the day he revealed his identity.

They walked into the building, got their passes and met up with Harley. His class consisted of him, Ned, MJ, Abraham, Cindy, and his other fellow decathlon teammates. Their tour guide was none other than Peter's friend Harley. Peter hoped his friend wouldn't embarrass him.

"Hi Peter." Harley greeted.

"Harley I saw you this morning." Peter said.

"Am I not allowed to say hello to my friend?"

"N- no you are I- never mind." Peter shook his head.

"Right, why don't we get this tour started shall we?" Harley asked.

But knowing Harley he would end up slipping and telling everyone Peter's business. Peter considered it being the southern charm in him.

His class took the newly built elevator to get to each floor, because if they took the stairs they'd be there for ages. For once in however many field trips, Flash wasn't with them. Peter was relived when Flash was said to be sick.

For some reason Peter could hear noises coming from the elevator, but he could no else could. It confused him, his dad just had the elevator installed.

"Alright everyone, this is the training room. Where our mighty hero's train, and look Ms. Black Widow training with Captain America." Harley said pointing to the two adults sparring.

The class were done with touring the bottom floor and went up to the higher up labs alongside where the cafeteria was. They all sat down and began eating lunch, they had twenty minutes before the labs were shutdown since tomorrow was a holiday.

So once everyone had finished eating it was time to take the last part of the tour. Peter already knew where they were going since once again he lives here, but he loved seeing his friends reactions to everything.

But the higher they got the noises intensified, he couldn't really focus to pinpoint what exactly the sound was. He needed everyone to be quiet, but if he did, everyone would ask questions. He'd rather everyone be safe then have something go wrong.

"Can everyone be quiet for a second?" Peter asked. Everyone piped down and stopped, Peter was able to hear everything a lot clearer now. But he definitely didn't like what he heard, the noises sounded like creaking.

"Harley, stop the elevator." Peter said.

"Pete, what's wrong? What's going on." And before Peter could answer the elevator shifted, then everyone started panicking and screaming. "Open the hatch!" Peter shouted.

Harley sprung into action and opened the hatch, Peter looked up and saw that the cable holding the elevator was snapping, if he didn't do something now him and everyone in the elevator would plummet to the ground floor and die.

With the hatch open Peter geared up ready to jump up, and when he did that he quickly grabbed the elevator cable in one hand, holding himself up with his other hand. "Peter! Are you okay?!" Harley shouted.

"Y- yeah I'm fine, is everyone else okay?" Once Peter got the verbal confirmation from Harley. They had to talk to someone, mainly get help. "Does anyone have any bars?" Mr. Harrington asked.

"The cable must've knocked out the internet powering the elevator." Harley said.

"What are we gonna do? Peter can't hold the cable forever!" Cindy exclaimed.

"I'll see if I can get the elevator emergency phone to connect with our A.I system. And relay a message to Mr. Stark." Harley said, obviously Peter could hear them since everything would echo throughout the shaft.

"H- hurry Harls." Peter said, he grunted in pain, trying his hardest not to let the elevator slip from his grip.

Tony Stark was working on his lab listening to AC/DC when Friday spoke to him. "Sir, Harley is trying to relay a message through my system, should I give him access?" F.R.I.D.A.Y. asked.

Tony has a confused expression, "Sure let him through." He replied.

"Hello? Tony?" Harley questioned.

"What's up kid?"

"Okay thank the lord the connection went through, anyway I don't have time but we need help we're all trapped in the elevator, the entire cable snapped. Peter is holding both of the cables to keep us from dropping. Send help please, Tony." Harley explained.

Tony immediately got up from his seat, "Alright, F.R.I.D.A.Y. call authorities and get ahold of a rescue team to help. Harley I'm getting my suit on and I'm going to see if I can help Peter, is he okay?"

"He said he can't hold the elevator much longer, he looks like he's in a lot of pain, hurry Tony." Harley said.

"Which floor are you stuck between?" Tony asked.

"We're stuck between floor 21 and 20, we were headed to the top labs." Harley replied back.

Tony walked out of the lab and ran up the stairs to the floors twenty one and twenty, he put his suit on and began to pry open the doors and fly down to meet Peter.

"Hey kiddo, help is on the way. Fri said they're two minutes out, you just gotta hang in there for a little bit longer." Tony told his son.

And soon enough help came, and everyone was safely brought out of the elevator, they had to have Peter let go and drop it even though it'd cause a lot of damage. Tony didn't care, he was just glad the kids and Mr. Harrington were okay.

"Wait, so Peter is Spider-Man?" Abraham asked.

MJ snickered, "Yeah, me and Ned knew that already, the rest of y'all are slow."

"Yes, I am Spider-Man, but if you tell anyone that could put your lives in danger. Since you are in direct ties with me." Peter said.

"In other words, if you tell the world who my son is, you all will die. And there will be a lawsuit against the school and your parents." Tony said.

"Dad!" Peter exclaimed.

"What?" He asked.

"We're not suing anyone Tony!" Harley shouted, while MJ and Ned started dying of laughter.
