Chapter 22: Gone Part 1

Ever since the war Tony hasn't been the same person. The boy he swore to protect is gone, Peter is gone. But he's going to get him back somehow the rouge avengers just came back from Wakanda and entered the compound. "There's tony." Clint said. "Hello." Tony replied.

Tony was a mess he has bags under his eyes, spends pretty much all day held up in the lab until Pepper drags him out and makes him eat, shower, and sleep but then he goes back to the lab working on a way to get everyone back. "I'm pretty sure you're all hungry so dinner is on the table."

They got to the dining table and sat down eating. "So how've you all been?" Tony asked. Steve looked at tony and scoffed. "I'm sorry bad choice of words." Tony apologized. "Like you've lost anyone." Steve said. "What?" Tony asked.

"I said like you've lost anyone, you're a selfish person Tony who only cares about no one but himself." Steve said raising his voice.

"Steve." Nat tried to say.

"No this stuck up of a human being is acting like everything is just dandy when we lost friends and family all he's doing is spending all day in here while we're out there fighting!"

Tony had enough and started to fight back. "No Steve while you idiots were on the run I was trying to get Ross and the government off your backs, I fought Thanos in space."

"I lost someone who I considered my son, he died in my arms, I had to tell his aunt that her nephew wasn't coming back she cried in my arms she lost her husband a year ago, and while you were getting back here I was working on a plan to get everyone back!" Tony yelled.

"So don't you dare try and act like you know me because oh if I'm remembering correctly you were running away from your problems while I was facing mine now if you need I doubt you will I will be in the lab!"

And with that Tony left leaving everyone in shock. Who knew Tony Stark had a heart? Bruce looked at everyone trying not to make the green guy come out but he needed to give them a piece of his mind. "While you guys were running away like babies Tony was the one who told Ross to back off, he has every right to be angry and so do I because."

"I expected you all to at least be civil decent human beings instead Steve you had to go and attack him, he lost someone he thought of as a son tony marveled about the kid you want to know who he was?"

"That boy was Peter Parker who lived up in Queens with his aunt May Parker, peter lost his parents when he was young and moved in with his aunt and uncle, when he turned 14 his uncle was shot and killed he died in his arms,"

"Peter was 15 years old when he met tony and found a place in Tony's life he was a fine young man who didn't deserve what has happened in his life so you bashing Tony about only caring about himself you're wrong because he found someone to protect, love, and help and that person was Peter."

"I'm disappointed in you all because that man is working his butt off to get everyone back while you all are doing nothing." Bruce said before walking away.

Bruce went down to the lab and started helping tony work on a plan to get back everyone who died knowing nothing about the events that would take place that fateful day.
