(Right, I very much dislike the way I wrote the original chapter, so I'm definitely revamping it.)

Anyway, on with the story.

Peter had just gotten back from school and went down to the lab to see Mr. Stark and when he got there he saw a boy around his age, with dirty blonde hair, and sparkling blue eyes. He was talking and laughing with Mr. Stark. They were sitting at Tony's workbench using tinkering with tools and a blueprint was up on the whiteboard. "Hey Mr. Stark." Peter greeted, Tony turned to the brunette and so did the other teen who smiled at Peter. "Peter, this is Harley Keener. Harley, meet Peter Parker."

Harley walked over to Peter, holding out his hand indicating he wanted to shake hands. Peter hesitantly took hold of his hand and shook it. "Hey nice to meet you Peter."

Peter noted the southern accent, but he smiled, "Nice to meet you too Harley."

Peter let go of his hand and looked to Mr. Stark, "I'm glad you're here kid. I'm sure you and Pete will get along swell." Tony said.

"Whatever you say old man." Harley joked.

Peter chuckled in response as Tony looked at him. "Peter, your betrayal won't go unpunished."

To which Peter laughed more, Harley joining in. "So you're used to his dramatics?" He asked.

Peter nodded his head, "When he gets like that I usually tune him out."

"Wanna grab something to drink and eat? I've been tinkering for like four hours and I'm starving." The two teens headed up the stairs making small talk as they went.

Harley took a sip of his water, "Tony's told me a lot about you."

Peter turned to the older boy. "Really? There's not much to tell."

"Sure there is! He hasn't stopped ravin' about you since before I came here. And even with just a little glimpse, I can see why he likes you." Harley complimented, seeing as Peter blushed in response.

"Well thanks for the vote of confidence." The two boys continued to chat a little more, and eventually informed Tony about them hanging out in Peter's room. That is where Harley got to see more of the brunette's interests shine, when Tony told him Peter was a full-on nerd, he wasn't kidding. Peter had posters of old eighties bands and movies all along the dark blue painted walls, a bookshelf littered with books, lots of Star Wars figurines on his desk, and even a replica model of Tony's Iron Man helmet.

He bent down to look at a photo, it was a younger Peter, maybe about eight or nine years old, with a woman who wore circular framed glasses, he resembled her quite a lot. Harley presumed it was his mother, and the man had worn glasses as well but they were square frames. He looked a little older than the woman, but nonetheless both seemed to be extremely happy with Peter. "If you don't mind my asking, sunshine. Who are the adults in this photo?" He asked.

Peter turned to Harley, "Oh, that's my Aunt May and Uncle Ben."

"Ah, you look a lot like your aunt."

Peter smiled, "Thanks."

"Are your parents the ones taking the photo?" Peter got quiet, Harley noticed, had he asked the wrong question? Peter cleared his throat trying not to let tears fall from his eyes.

"N.. No. They died in a plane crash two years prior to the photo." He replied.

Harley instantly felt guilty, "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ask."

Peter waved his hand, "It's alright, you didn't know."

"I live with my ma and sister Abbie. Dad pulled the classic; "going out to buy milk, I'll be back soon" as it always goes, he didn't come back." Harley felt that it was easy to open up to Peter, he didn't know why, maybe it was just him being friendly.

"That sucks, but hey, you don't have to worry about your friends leaving."

Harley chuckled, "Ha, I'm not a person people wanna be friends with."

Peter looked at him, "I'd like to be friends with you." Harley was bewildered at this, normally people found him cocky, obnoxious, and very stand-offish. But he was grateful to meet Peter and become his friend.
