Chapter 29: Harley

I had just gotten back from school and went down to the lab to see Mr. Stark and when I got there I saw someone talking and laughing with Mr. Stark. And do you want to know the worst part? They were sitting at my work bench using my tools and my whiteboard. "Hey Mr. Stark." I greeted.

He turned to me and so did the other guy he looked about my age maybe older. "Peter this is Harley Keener, Harley meet Peter Parker."

"Hey nice to meet you peter."

He held out his hand indicating he wanted to shake hands I hesitantly took hold of his hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you too Harley."

I let go of his hand and looked to Mr. Stark, "I have a project for us Tony." Harley said.

"What's up Harley."

After Harley went and sat down back at my desk talking to Mr. Stark I made sure to keep an eye on Harley. "I'll be back Mr. Stark."

He didn't even acknowledged what i said so i went upstairs to grab some water then i turned and saw Harley standing there. "H-hi Harley."

"Hello peter look i'm not sure what your doing but Tony doesn't need you he has me now."

"Um what is that supposed to mean?"

"It means stay away from Tony got it."

"You're not the boss of me i'm Mr. Stark's intern as far as i'm concerned you just waltzed in here like you own the place."

"Stay away or else."

He then walked away, "What the heck." I thought.

Is this guy wanting to steal my job?! Or replace me?! Or make Mr. Stark hate me?!

I walked back to the lab and sat at Mr. Banner's desk minding my own business doing my homework i turned to look at Mr. Stark but he had his back towards me. Then i looked at Harley who had his elbow dangerously close to the only picture I have of Aunt May, Uncle Ben, and Me. "Harley please be careful your arm is very close to my photo."

He kinda looked at me but smirked then moved his elbow closer to the point where my photo was going to fall then SMASH! It fell to the ground and i had enough for almost the entire day Harley has been rude and now he's taken it too far. i ran scrambling to fix my photo, "Oh gosh i'm so sorry peter i didn't-"

"Save the crappy apology you deliberately smashed the last photo i have of my uncle what have i ever done to you!" I yelled.

"Peter it was an accident."

"No. No it wasn't he looked at me and smirked then knocked it over!"

"You know what i'm done have fun with my new replacement Mr. Stark!"

As i picked up my photo i made a gash on my hand from a chunk of glass. "You alright Pete?"

"I'm fine not like it's your concern."

Then i left and cleaned up my gash before leaving the compound then swung to my apartment i knew i would be alone because Aunt May is at work till 6pm.

I stayed in the living room looking at my picture for a few hours until i heard a knock on my door. "Peter it's me i know you're in there open up i just want to talk." Said a muffled Mr. Stark.

I walked up slowly to the door sitting down up against it, "Why i don't want to talk to you or Harley."

"Peter i'm sorry."

"Go. Away."

"No we're not leaving until you open this door." Mr. Stark said.

"Well it looks like you'll be sleeping outside this door because i'm not opening it."

"I'm sorry about your picture peter i didn't know about your uncle and i know that's not an excuse but i am truly sorry."

"I thought you were a threat and i thought i was replaced by you with Tony and i guess i got jealous you don't have to forgive me just know i'm sorry."

After Harley apologized i thought about today for a few minutes and I forgave him i just didn't tell him. "Peter you there?"

"I forgive you Harley but i'm still not opening the door Aunt May will be here soon and she'll be exhausted so could you guys go i'll be at the compound tomorrow after school."

"Okay goodbye peter i hope we can become friends."

I heard their footsteps receding and i started cleaning up before Aunt May came home.

I'm sorry I made Harley be mean to Peter but I needed something angsty in honor of making almost thirty chapters I decided to make it special.
