Chapter 37: Nicknames {30 day challenge}

Mr. Stark and i have been working on new web solutions for my suits to make them last longer and more efficient and effective so we've been in the lab for about two hours and somethings got me thinking.

Why does Mr. Stark always call me kiddo? I mean it's not that i mind it or anything it's just confusing he calls me kiddo more than he calls me by my name. But is it weird that i like it when he calls me that? In a way it makes me feel special i'll ask him about it. "Hey Mr. Stark?"

"Yeah kiddo?" He replies, see there he goes again calling me that. "I have a question." I said, "Ask away peter."

"Why do you call me kiddo all the time i mean you call me that more than my own name n-not that i d-don't mind it's just something i've had on my mind."

He looked at me surprised like i was talking crazily or he was spaced out i couldn't tell because i'm freaking out inside but trying to keep my cool on the outside but i think i'm failing miserably. At least until he spoke, "Well you're a kid and i'm your mentor it's just a nickname what do you not like it?" He asked.

"N-no i like it i was just curious why you gave me a nickname."

"Truth is kiddo i only give out nicknames to people i consider family or friends." He admitted.

"But i'm not your friend i mean i'm a kid as you said and we're not not related."

"Kid just because you're not my flesh and blood doesn't mean i don't consider you part of my family."

"Alright then but i like the nickname and i don't mind it can i make a nickname for you?" He smiled, "Sure kiddo." Good because i have the perfect one but what if he thinks it's silly what if he hates it?

"I've got one." I said, "Great what is it?"

"Since you kind of act like a dad figure towards me i figured this would suit you."

"What is it kiddo?" He asked.

I stuttered, "I-IronDad." I waited a few seconds closing my eyes to get away from his gaze which was probably burning at me like laser beams but then...."I like it spiderson."

I guess it is true Tony Stark does have a heart.
