Put it down to fate,

of what brought me here,

But right now,

I'm opening the gate,

to the graveyard,

where I lay buried.

This soul of mine,

will never be revived.

The slow march of time,

will carry on.

My soul fading,

into the something else.

My skin is cold,

my eyes are grey,

words are dead,

since I never said the words,

please stay.

Say goodbye to the person you knew,

farewell to the world you lived in.

Everything is new,

The words I say are few,

But I smile,

and try to mean it.

My words are dead,

by things I should've said.

Eyes remain grey,

since you didn't stay.

Somewhere else now,

My world has changed,

my skin is different,

my eyes a shade,

But still its all the same.

I suddenly see your face,

Lined with life,

I turned my back on,

holding hands with a woman,

who won, what I lost.

Another few years for sure,

and sadly,

you'll be no more.

I sit on a grave,

with a name,

and a face.

No one comes here anymore,

But I look down and smile and say,

I'll do it right this time.
