The world is dark, yet I can still vaguely make out my shadowed surroundings.

I walk down a deserted street, and I recognize a house up ahead as my old one.

As I get closer, I can see flickers of flame rising from it, and hear y parent's unearthly screams as a blaze consumes them. I break into a sprint, and burst into the burning house, determined to save my parents.

But, inside, all I can see are men. Men wearing black suits with an 'R' on each one.

They are laughing evilly at me, and I am rooted to the spot, terrorized by my parent's screams and the deadly flames licking at my feet.

Just as I feel about to give in, run away, and never return, a dark shape runs towards me out of nowhere. As he or she gets closer, I vaguely recognize the silouette...

"Ack!" I rear my head up as I snap out of my dream.

I am no longer in a dream world, yet for once I wish that I could have stayed in the clutches of my dreams for only seconds more...

I slowly stand up. My clothing is partly tattered, torn in many spots.

I take in terrified, bored, and sad faces, looking at the many people in my surroundings.

"An outsider!" one shouts wearily, and I realize these many people, as well as I, are in a steel room, with two barred doors.

"Tell us!" another shouts, "what has become of the world we all seem to have left behind, perhaps forever!?"

With this, the twenty or thirty inhabitants of this sad place begin to shout out questions, often about the state of the outside world, or their families.

I hold up my hands and back up.

"Stop! Please!" I beg. "One at a time!"

Aparrently, each and every one of them considered themselves worthy of being the first person, and started shouting out questions once more.

I held up my hands once more, and yelled over them. "Please! I'll ask one at a time!"

This seems to work, as a multitude of hands shoot up as voices quiet down.

"Um... Okay, you-" I point at two people, who look like husband and wife.

"Please, can you tell us if our son is alright?" the woman exclaimed.

How would I know her son?

"Please!" She held up a tattered picture.

I walked up to her and held it.

"..." I stared at the picture in utter disbelief. It depicted a teenager, wearing a black suit.

He was smiling happily at the camera, and looked peaceful.

I blinked.

"Please! I don't know what happened to him!"

If that was a picture of that Team Rocket grunt... and these were his parents... then...

Many controversal theories swam around in my head.

???

It seemed as if everything kept getting more odd...

"Uh... yeah... I don't know... Sorry..." I mumbled, suddenly tired.

But as everyone else shook their hands excitedly in the air, I knew it would be a long night...

---/Flygon/---

After waking up from yet another fitful sleep, riddled with nightmares, I am still in the same place as always.

Suddenly, I am enveloped by light, as I grow and appear on some sort of table.

"Let's see what we have here..." a scientist mumbled, looking at a small electronic hand-held device.

"Ah. So you are the one that has resources we require... I will have you brought to F immediately. Good, good."

He turned away from me, and began to do other things, as I peered at him. Was he some sort of idiot, not tying me up?

"Now, you just stay there. We'll have you back in the desert immediately," he said reassuringly, turning back to me.

I blinked. Of course! This guy definately wasn't on the need-to-know list. He must think I'm just some... ordinary pokemon.

In fact, he even left the door open...

I begin to hurriedly plan my escape.

I glance at my wings, but I have no clue how to fly. Then again, I could just walk out... on the other hand, he'd probably catch me... But, what have I got to lose?

I steady myself, then leap off the table to freedom...
