The Rays of Dawn [Sequel to The Shadows of Dusk]

I jump out of bed happily. Downstairs, I can hear my mother whistling to herself as she makes us a delicious Saturday Breakfast.
I can't tell that clearly, but I'm guessing by the faint smell that she's making my favourite- blueberry-waffles. I quickly pull a green shirt on, and look out my single window to check the weather. Looks like it's a hot day, so I grab my favourite plaid blue shorts and put them on as I hop down the stairs.
When I finally get to the kitchen, an old style one with a not-very-fancy table in the middle, I notice only my mom there, turning on the waffle-maker once more, and a pile of waffles on the table, waiting for me.
I am struck by a sudden thought. "Mom, where's dad?" I ask oddly. For as long as I can remember, my dad would be waiting for me at the table, sipping coffee and reading the daily paper.
"Don't you remember," my mother asked sweetly, "he died two weeks ago."
I blink rapidly. What?
"Or do you not trust me," my mother said darkly, yet still in the sweet voice I can always remember.
Then her eyes turned red, as her fingernails lengthened and became sharp.
"Um..." I feel really freaked out as I feel like I'm resident in some horror movie.
Then I scream as she lunges for me.

1. I'm not getting confused. This is the same guy's POV as was the last book.
2. Last book, you say? Um... This is the second book in a series. The first is called 'The Shadows of Dusk', and is probably what you want to read before you even attempt to vaguely understand this story. Basically, what you just read up there. Yeah, about his mother and everything. IT WILL MAKE NO SENSE!
So, if you haven't read 'The Shadows of Dusk' yet, you have two options.
1. Scroll to the top of the page, and click on the link above the description that says something like 'Ilovetoread72' or 'Profile' or something, and read 'The Shadows of Dusk'. Then come back here to read this story.
2. This is a pkmn fanfiction. If you for some reason do not enjoy pokemon fanfictions, or you do not want to read this or the first book, there's a nifty thing called the back button. It'll bring you back to whatever place you were. Just don't bring me with you. I quite like sitting here typing on my iPod.

I shudder as her claw-like nails scrape across me. I black out instantly, but for some reason do not feel any pain.
Then I wake up in a tiny, red inclosed space that takes on the shape of a sphere. And I remember my current situation.
I may have just woke up from a nightmare.
But I'm still in one.

*Shudders as everyone stares at him*
C'mon, it wasn't THAT short, was it? Please? Anyway. I just wanted to get it started. So, I hope you all liked it!
1. Comments... Please don't just say 'You suck at spelling', that is 100% unhelpful and will be ignored. At least say, 'This chapter has a few spelling mistakes, like ____' so I can at least fix one thing.
2. Votes. I don't pressure. But votes are awesome and a way of helping me speed up on writing and encouraging.
3. Reviews. Unless you're gonna be honest, reviews are just ok... But, if you're totally honest, THANK YOU SO MUCH THAT'S AWESOME! I mean, sure, 'This is good because you describe well' is really awesome, and it helps me remember to describe situations better, but 'You should have describe XXX better' is almost better because then I can actually make this book better.
4. Suggestions for anything are fine; but please don't suggest unless you're ok with being ignored. I try my best to make readers happy, but sometimes I forget or don't like that suggestion.
5. Fanning. Just plain old awesome. For all of you fans, I'll let you in on a little secret (Really little and probably not that great) that I am doing a fan-only book. It won't be that great, but it'll have tons of info and mini-stories in it.
