Shards of wood and paint pelted my body as I leapt out of bed, feeling lucky that they had left my

clothes on. I vaulted a chair and grabbed four pokeballs off my desk, adding them to the other one.

As the dust cleared, I saw three figures standing in the jagged hole.

"Give us the flygon."

One of them, Team Rocket grunts I assumed, elbowed the man that had spoken, and stepped

forward. He pulled a pokeball out of nowhere.

"We'll give you this if you trade."

Inside the pokeball, I could see a small arbok. Why would I want an arbok, anyways?

They stood there for a moment, then the one that hadn't spoken up yet did.

"Times up."

I threw a pokeball, and my arcanine appeared.

"Fure! Use fire blast!"

I remembered back when Officer Jenny had given me a TM for a birthday present. "It's a new one- reusable!"

Knowing I could use it over and over again, I had instantly pulled out my newly evolved arcanine and taught it to the fiery pokemon.

Now it would coming in handy.

A gigantic star-shaped blast of flame appeared and shot towards the three men.

It didn't hit, though.

"Mantyke's aqua ring keeps us protected from measly fire attacks."

I hadn't even noticed the cute water pokemon appear.

I threw another pokeball.

"Volt!" the dog-like electric pokemon appeared, it's yellow and blue fur glistening in the sunlight coming from the unsightly hole in the wall.

"Thunder!"

Once more, the TM move was deflected.

This time, a large pokemon with a horn on it's head had absorbed the attack. I was beginning to get annoyed.

"Leaf!" I had recieved a turtwig from the region's professor. While I had named it after its first evolution, I think I should have prepared a little more. The large grass-ground pokemon known as a torterra stood in front of me now.

'Tree' would probably be more appropriate.

"Bullet seed!"

Seeds flew like bullets from it's... tree.

Want to guess the result?

Yeah.

A large flaming pokemon appeared, and burnt all the seeds to cinders.

As I was wondering what my next move would be, I felt  blow to the back of my head.

I blacked out.

In a large room, a wall-mounted screen flickered to life, illuminating the room's twenty-five visitors.

A face, mostly hidden by shadows, spoke, the speakers in the room making his words echo.

"My minions." The voice began. "How are you all?"

No one answered, and the screen showed a hint of a smile. "I have trained you well."

He took in the occupants of the room. "Where is Y?"

For the first time, one of the stock-still people spoke. His voice had a rough edge to it, and if you looked closely you may guess he had recently been in an injury, by the many scars and bruises on his face.

"It seems he is hunting a rather interesting girl."

"Ah. For you, I suppose?"

"Yes. We have noticed her from many times she has... happened upon us. We know she would be a perfect candidate."

"Good. How many successes have you had in side-project G?"

"It would seem... three. There have been problems, though."

The face on the screen narrowed his eyes, though it would take great eyesight to see behind the shadows.

"Explain."

"Um... It seems one has... kinda... escaped..." suddenly energized, he hurridly added "we should have him in our clutches in little time."

"Hm. A mistake from you could be expected..." the face seemed to consider something.

"You shall live."

The man sighed in relief. "Thank you, master. I will not slip up again."

The matter closed, the discussion turned to other topics.

---/Flygon/---

Hmmm? Where am I?

I seem to be elsewhere.

No longer in this world?

Am I dead?

No. I am still alive.

I am still a pokemon, trapped inside a pokeball.

But I am no longer hanging off of a belt.

Wherever I am, I don't like it.

Cause worse is coming, I can feel it.
