Remember

A short but sappy chapter for ya, and the music I used to write it.

*Spoiler alert for Rebels (and Clone Wars, but nothing major)*

Ahsoka sat on the ground; Grass tickled her bare feet and the tips of her fingers resting on her knees. The evening sun beat down on her face, seeping through her closed eyes. Memories flashed through her mind.

"There's been a mix-up, the youngling's not with me." "Stop calling me that! You're stuck with me, Skyguy." "What did you just call me? Don't get Snippy with me, little one." And the nicknames were born.

"You're reckless little one, you would never have made it as Obi-Wan's Padawan. But you might make it as mine."

"This is where the fun begins." "Race you to the top?" "I'll give you a head start." Oh how she wished she could relive those times. She wanted to race Anakin to the top, she wanted to beat his droid count, she wanted to dual with him, to learn from him.

"What are you trying to prove anyway?" He asked her. "That I'm not too young to be your Padawan." "Ahsoka, a very wise Jedi once said nothing happens by accident, it is the will of the force that you're by my side; I'm just trying to keep you there in one piece."

"I will not let Ahsoka die." A tear made it's way down her face.

"I don't want to fight you, Ahsoka."

"Listen, I would never hurt you Ahsoka, never."

The horrid memory came back. Those days... those days have been over for a long time.

"I will NOT leave you, not this time." She could practically feel the mechanical breathing down her neck.

"Then you will die."
