In the height of the Clone Wars, Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano is summoned secretly by Chancellor Palpatine, who bypasses the High Council to offer her a black-ops mission: infiltrate Castle Dooku on Serenno and capture the Separatist Head of State. To succeed, Ahsoka sheds her traditional robes for a tactical, matte-black stealth suit, symbolizing her shift toward pragmatic warfare. During a brutal duel with Count Dooku, Ahsoka suffers catastrophic injuries, losing her left hand and receiving a permanent scar across her right eye, but she ultimately captures the Sith Lord with the help of a clone strike team.
Upon returning to Coruscant, Ahsoka is controversially promoted directly to Jedi Master by the Council, influenced by Palpatine's political maneuvering. She is granted ownership of Castle Dooku, renamed **Castle Tano**, as a sovereign prize. Ahsoka accepts the role of "Lady of Serenno," balancing her Jedi duties with planetary governance. She takes the young Rodian Ganodi as her Padawan, a tinkerer with a curious mind, and is gifted a Loth-cat named Tani by Master Shaak Ti.
Ahsoka establishes her rule on Serenno, repurposing Separatist droids for defense and having her clone contingent, led by Commander Slate, repaint their armor in black and orange to match her aesthetic. She experiences vivid dream-visits from the ancient Jedi Master Nya Lightbringer, who guides her spiritually and warns her of the darkness within the Senate. Meanwhile, on Coruscant, Palpatine begins to question the utility of the Sith path, while Masters Yoda and Windu debate Ahsoka's unconventional methods, including Anakin Skywalker's suggestion that she learn Force Choke for self-defense. The episode concludes with Ahsoka solidifying her sovereignty through a formal court, accepting her dual identity as Jedi Master and Planetary Sovereign, and preparing for the next phase of her journey: the cleansing of Dooku's lightsaber and the training of her new apprentice.
