Proverbs 27:9
NIV: Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.
Meaning: Good friends are awesome. They laugh with you, share memories with you and are someone you can just talk to! Friends who share the same faith as you I find so great because you are on the same page in life and its really neat to be able to be able to talk about your faith and stuff like that :) But I'm not at all saying that non- Christian friends are bad..... You best friends may not share your faith and that's okay! You can show them Gods love and maybe even lead them to Christ! I love this verse, I think it's so sweet and an encouragement for us all! " The pleasantness of a friend sprigs from their heartfelt advice.".... Not only can this reminder us what can make a good friend, but why type of friend we should be to others... encouraging and helpful, bring joy to their heart! God tells us to love our neighbours as ourselves, and that includes your friends:)
